Well, for one thing, the next version won't have electrified trains in the Tropics until the 1960s, except that we might have Pacific Electric interurbans in the early years - but it won't be for heavy freight. Also, we are separating a few more locos that won't be in all climates. There's a list on the tracking table.

Hey, all! good to hear you guys are digging the Michigan Central Terminal. Ya know, I don't know what it is about this station, but but the drawing is going so smooth. Normally, I'm a toil-and-error-type of artist, but not in this case. I mean, I've probably ended up redrawing the GCT three times before it looked okay. Maybe I'm channeling the original architects, or the Big Guy upstairs is telling me "don't let them demolish this building!" That being said, I worked on the station some more this morning. Minor tweaks to the back-end, and, well, obviously, another MAJOR change.

Cheers!

Very, very sharp.

You do realize you'll have to draw a US Total Town Replacement Set to match it, right?

Good. So, if everone's happy (with the exception of George. What's goin' on man?) with the MCS, I'll do the obverse views in a few days.

krtaylor: Ya know, a US town replacement would be a great idea. I sure could use a little help with it, if some other artists would help work on some other buildings. Otherwise, it may take a little while. Right now, though, I just want to do some of the larger city depots. GCT is in the Bag. MCS is getting there. I'd like to do Philly's neoclassical 30th St. station. Cincy's art deco station is a must, but I'm having a REAL hard time finding elevations of the sides and the roof. I may just have to use a little creativity. The former PRR station in Pittsburgh would be nice for sentimental reasons, and the St. Louis station is a Victorian masterpiece. That should round up the city stations set, with Cornelius' mission-style station.

Aegir: Nope, been sober for the last few days. I've been on a self-imposed exile from my lab to finish up some back-burnered work. So, I've been pecking away at the station while I've been taking breaks. I'll correct my blood:alcohol ratio this coming weekend, though. :P

Cheers!

Oz, have you seen my stations listing? I'll be glad to add your suggestions to it if you can find me links. I would say that would be plenty of big-city stations. I also have some smaller stations on there that are easier to draw.

Concerning the Cincinnati station, don't worry about the elevations, you cannot do them. The Cincinnati station is built on a hill, so that its concourse can extend out over the tracks which are in a valley to the rear. Of course you cannot do anything quite like that in TTD, so you're going to have to fudge somehow no matter what. So just use your imagination of what "looks good" and seems to fit.

I'd love to have a complete US buildings set, but honestly I think we should finish the stations, roads, and town names first, because we seem to collect graphics faster than Oracle can code them. Where is he, anyway?

What's wrong with it, George? Just saying you don't like it isn't going to get anything changed.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

Why? It is cool. It is wonderful! But it is not sharp. Or do you mean the building, not the graphics? :?

I see we got a language misunderstanding here. I like the building very much, but the word "sharp" for me means not good graphics (smoothing required), that’s why I thought that krtaylor said, that the building is bad and I disagreed with him.

Ah. Thank you for clarifying. In the US, "sharp" is slang for "good."

Why? "Sharp" means "not smooth"

Both "sharp" and "smooth" are complimentary slang. What can I say? It's slang, it doesn't have to make grammatical sense.
