in trackng.dat you have

<variable name="curvespeed" size="2">150</variable>

while this entry is in trackst.dat

<variable name="curvespeed" size="2">400</variable>

I haven't tried it yet, but changing this value in trackng.dat should work.

Unfortunately, I have no trackng.dat and trackst.dat left without further modifications, so if I would release it here it won't work for others.

But you can use Loco Tool for modifications you can do in your own. There is a download for Loco Tool here in this forum and when you have installed it you have to go to you Windows explorer and drag the .dat file you want to be decompiled onto Loco Tool .exe file. For compiling of .xml file you do the same.

Re: Diesel Trams

Post by barney_5uk »

Diesel trams were (and maybe are) used by some narrow- gauge railways. They were not so in common use, but there were a few of them in more rural areas. As soon as I have time left for, I will go forward with development - next I will release the Swiss narrow gauge railcar for 3rd rail (standard track) and also a Diesel version, but I need some more time for.

Well, it's not a standard-gauge railcar either, it's almost certainly narrow-gauge. Which is why I think it fits, given we've apparently decided here that narrow gauge and tram gauge are the same

There is just one we can separate trams from light rails. Trams are moving through street traffic while light rails have same or similar vehicles as tramways but their tracks separated from street traffic. But in reality, you have also trams using both streets and separated tracks, so I think it's not easy to make differences there...

It's difficult to say when it's a tram or lightrail.
But a tram is mostley much lighter and can take corners with the same radius as cars do. The lightrail can't.
Lightrail has also a much higher top speed.

Right click on the XML file and select "Open with Notepad", you can edit it from that.
