Yet another pointless remark for the collection!

I *used* to be one but over the years my interest in trains has diminished.

I think it's sad, but I do have several notepads (containing mostly exam revision notes). Where do I vote?

/me is a trainspotter. When I've some time and a digital photo cam, I make movies of passing trains. I don't like to make pictures, because ERS already has so much. I like movies

Not(h)ing?
Alcohol is not the answer, it just makes you forget the question.

Trainspotters usually take notes of everything about their subjects, such as travelled milleage, locomotives riden, and so on.
I'm a trainspotter myself, but I usually only take notes of the units photographed.
That's CP 1564, a Montreal Locomotives Works built locomotive

I will happily go to the local crossing and sit trackside to watch the trains. Not to jot down numbers, there's just a certain rush you get from 1000 tons of metal rushing past at 100mph!

Thing is, do you stop 'spotting' when you've collected all the numbers?

I think i becoming what's known as a 'train basher' [where you try to ride behind every member of a certain class]. Covering the 159 fleet was no trouble, i'm now half-way through the 442s, and about 22 Desiros
