Game (patch) won't start under Windows NT
I have a problem when I'm starting the ttdpatch. At the same time as the start screen appears it stops and I can't do anything. The game isn't responding and I have to use ctrl-alt-del to get out of it again. I'm using the newest patch and am playing on NT, I hope not that is the problem....?

Maybe the win2000/xp compatible need to be switched off..sfjelde wrote:Found out that if I use the TTDX Configurator with almost all the settings turned on it happens, but if I use the original ttdpatch.cfg file everything seems normal. Is something in the configurator not working properly?
You can also try switching them on one by one.. and when it stops working. you know which option does not work... let us know if you find out !

NT doesn't need xp/2000 compatibility on. I have Windows ME (based on NT technology) and I don't use the xp/2k switch

Umm, that is not correct. WinME was not based on WinNT, it was based on Win98. WinXP was based on WinNT/Win2K.Lilman424 wrote:NT doesn't need xp/2000 compatibility on. I have Windows ME (based on NT technology) and I don't use the xp/2k switch
This is why you don't need the XP/2K switch as you are using WinME.

Thats right. Wins 95, 98 and ME are Windows 9x's. NT 4, 2000 and XP are Windows NT's.starionx wrote:Umm, that is not correct. WinME was not based on WinNT, it was based on Win98.
