Hello
Glad u took my previous message in goods stride, i feared it sounded a bit harsh but was all meant as constructive criticism ;p
I'm briefly testing ur new additions of past 2 months and ofcourse enjoying ur delictable graphics
Stadium does produce players now even early game and at a large rate. more than my early towns produce passengers even.
Refineries accept oil but indeed do not produce goods in 4.0.3 for me. It seems absent in my 1950s start. They seem to want to produce only fuel oil.
I had mentioned i thought they maybe could produce plastics as well as there r fewer sources for plastics, and sumthin refineries actually do produce irl.
But also producing the more general consumer 'goods' wouldnt be bad for my towns and are an offset product for the huge quantities of oil a playthrough can produce haha )
So maybe a bug?
The issue i encountered earlier with missing carriage loads to transport plastics by rail seems to be taken care off. ;p
Raw material producing factories do produce now without primary input materials, which is preferable, but already at a reasonably high amount.
Not necessarily bad cuz they will sustain later game trains tho i wonder what it will give when they get properly supplied themselves lol.
I do notice the food producing factory also lacks the ability to accept iron nor produces goods. Seems goods are missing entirely as such from game?
Maybe they kick in at a later date than 1950 or this might be a bug in real industries 4.0.3 ?
i maintain i find it odd the model for tyre factory lacks chimney but the ones processing foods has 3 even lol
cheers
In fact, I really appreciate it and it's a huge help because even though I do a lot of testing before publishing something, sometimes I find it impossible to cover everything and many eyes see much more than just one pair.
- Ok, many players now, their production should be reduced, Too much production of raw materials too.
- That's right, refineries don't produce goods like in the original game, but simply Petrol Oil. This is done intentionally in search of realism, the goods are too general and extensive.
- Something similar happens with the food factory: it receives grains and livestock and produces food. It didn't seem realistic to me that it would receive metals and produce goods.
- The tire factory will improve its graphics at some point in the future. I haven't had time yet. My idea is for it to be a Michelin factory or something like that. I've been thinking about making the industries into well-known brands. I'm not sure yet, but I find it interesting that industries and vehicles will become something real and not so generic, This would be an Ikea factory and Ikea vehicles, an Esso refinery, a Shell refinery, or something else with their corresponding vehicles, etc. That the cargo isn't generic, but that you're transporting DHL packages or FedEx packages, something like that, I still have to sit down and think about it.
Basically, it would mean that liveries would not simply be a cosmetic change to vehicles, but would begin to have a much greater role in the game, taking center stage at the cargo level.
I want to finish Real Docks and Real Airports before returning to work on Real Industries.
