Hope I'm asking in the right place. I'm trying to find a scenario I downloaded years ago, which I have since lost - I expect it was on an old computer that got stolen. I loved playing it, would like to try it again, but can't find it anywhere. Does anyone recognise it?
It was quite distinctive. It didn't use a heightmap or sophisticated landscaping, the mountains were very clearly made by raising squares up high to make pyramid shapes. It had a circle of mountains at the top with five or six big cities inside and coal mines at the top of the hills. Another mountain range was way down the bottom with one coal mine and the only power station. Huge plains with farms were down the left side. There was one factory which was on a small island at the far right. Another island at the bottom right had wooded plains with lots of forest. It was quite a big map and it was designed to place all the industries far away from the place their products needed to go.
I probably downloaded it 10-15 years ago.
The map looked a bit like this, drawn from memory...
If you recognise it and can give me the name, or even better the scenario file, I'd be really grateful!
[OTTD] Help, looking for old scenario
Re: [OTTD] Help, looking for old scenario
If you don't care about the specific details, it is very easy to create a similar scenario in the scenario editor.

Do you have any inkling where you might have downloaded it from?
Re: [OTTD] Help, looking for old scenario
Sadly not! My guess would have been here on the forums, but I’ve scanned through this forum, and the old thread from 2007, and turned up blanks. Some screenshots and files are missing now, of course, and some creators have very long threads for all their scenarios which I haven’t gone through.
I could definitely just make my own scenario to match my vague memory of it, but thought asking about it was worth a shot before I do!
