Hope to do some corner pieces, various gates and on slopes.
Some diagonal pieces along the red lines would be cool - this way you would also just have to do two pieces (one horizontal and one vertical) instead of four like with the blue lines, where you need top left and right and bottom left and right.

For my taste, the green is bright enough for a good contrast.

I'm just not sure if they are high enough - could you place a building or some of the other medium height fences next to it for comparison.

Maybe 3-4 pixel higher?!?

Need both types so corners will align with other fences.

These hedges are between 4 to 6 pixels high. Same height as most fences. But maybe a bit higher might be better as they usually higher then a fence in some places.

The ones I was doing for Bananas I will put in a to do another time folder.

You will find the Police Station, Police Car Parks and Police cars on side of road in "Utility Buildings".

Just to give you an idea, I'll show you the police headquarters in my hometown. It would probably be quite challenging, but it looks nice, doesn't it?

And this is why it is handy to use (and keep updating) versionnumbers in the name of the file itself...
That way players keep "old" versions in their folders, rather than constantly overwriting them with new not-numbered versions (and then not being compatible again for old savegames).

Anyway, it may be wise to think about starting using versionnumbers...

With regards to the policestations:
Something is not correct with the first one (if you place or replace it with the others):

Apart from the colors, it should be the same as the beige one next to it, but it isnt.

I dont think its an offset (i.e code) issue, but a graphics issue

Just tested it and it looks great! Thanks a lot Garry! Btw, I also like ambulance cars you drawn. When you have time, could you code them too?

Your more then welcome to draw it and I will code it for you. If want some templates let me know and I send. That police station so big might need a 3x3 or a 4x4 tile sizes.

Later I hope do another police station but a smaller one that suitable for small towns or in the suburbs.

I been putting the version number in the lng file .. but never thought why so important for it to be part of the grf name. So future updates I will add version number to the game file. If I had done that many years ago back in 2015-2016 then my scenarios I was originally trying to make would not be missing files now .. silly me. :oops:

The first one sunk down 1 pixel in the template .. I lifted it back up should be ok next release.

Silly idea I got now .. the police cars waiting on side of the road . maybe I could do a few more with a car in front of them and a police man standing near that car booking him :roll:

I thought 2 different colour police stations would look better. One thing I have done wrong .. the police stations with the main door at the front? I meant to flip one of those and forgot. :oops:

Depends what time I get home tomorrow if I do some more to these or let them wait a day or two.

Started designing the Ambulance station based on the Ambulance Station in Hamilton, Newcastle, Australia.
Here a .png of where I upto and if any one interested also include a .psd version. You get an idea how I design my buildings a bot at a time. Windows, doors, roofs and other parts all separately drawn.

It's a big police station in a county town, so I'd do it on 4x4 tiles ;-)

Do you have a drawing program on your computer? If not can download for free one called GIMP.
I uploaded 2 template sets. 4x4 and 3x4 they include the coding.
In the gfx folder you will find templates. The blue ones are for 8 bit drawings which you will need to only use the colours in the palette, OR the ones on white back ground are for 32 bit graphics. Can use any colour you like.

It took me months to learn how to draw so don't give up. Some times it gets up setting so just have a week or 2 break and then come back and try again.

I first tried to draw the whole object and found that hard .. so I started drawing pieces separately and joined them together later like I did to that Ambulance Station.

Finished the hedge fences except for the slope ones. Hope to do those eventually.

When you go to purchase each type you will see a number in brackets .. this indicates how many random types can be placed on each tile.
Been asked to show version number of GRF so I have done so with this upload. It is Version 4.

Also included the source for those interested.

The hedge fences are beautiful - really like them. Will be great for cemeteries, as you showed, but also sports fields, school yards, farms. Also nice that you added the diagonal pieces - I actually find them much more useful than the "slope" ones.

Would be great to also have diagonal pieces for the other fences and walls, if there is still enough space in the NewGRFs.

Please, really please develop a version numbering system and keep it throughout - at the moment it is very difficult to keep track of the different versions and when added to scenarios, it makes it very difficult in particular for new players to figure out why some graphics are broken.

Also, the version I just downloaded from above with the hedges still gives the update date as "Update: 11 Feb 2023" which makes tracking down the most recent version even more difficult.

Yep .. I intend to do that .. just a bit of tweaking to do to the Station and do a flip version then I do a few ambulances parked that can be placed at side of the buildings.

That on my to do list as there is still room in the add-ons for more fence work. Also have to finish the stone and metal fences .. but keep getting side tracked on other things.

Might be a good idea if I add versions to them all .. even those I not done work to for a while and upload here.

Here us 2 Ambulance Stations and some Ambulance Car parking.

The car park has a choice of 6 4 with Ambulances, 1 empty car park and 1 blank slab.

These are some other Eye Candy Vehicles that I could use as objects.
(FireBrigade, Tow Trucks, Garbage Trucks and a mail Van)
Next to think of ways to use them.

Hey Garry!
The Ambulance station is looking really good. A further idea is a wall or security fencing around the parking lot. I don't think ambulances are stored in unsecured lots. It's just a thought.

Can I throw some other thoughts/ideas your way?

Fire Brigade:- I think the ambulance station could also work as a fire station. Just needs roller shutters. Fire engines tend to be stored inside only. I can't remember ever seeing fire engines parked outside a station.

Police:- And maybe it could also work as a Police station. Maybe add a few floors for a taller building. Secure parking outside.

Garbage:- Perhaps you could borrow some graphics from FIRS and tie the trucks in to the recycling depot/plant.

Tow Truck:- Again borrowing from FIRS these could link with the scrapyard. In addition to truck parking maybe you could have a few tiles with scrap cars simulating a breakers yard. Might look good with the FIRS scrapyard (more of an industry add-on than a town add-on). Alternatively, a mechanics garage with a tow truck parked outside.

Mail:- How about a building with an overlay that could go over a truck stop? I'm thinking something like your depot overlays could work well.

I like using the Eyecandy Vehicles set, and your objects with them tie everything together very nicely. The only one I don't use is the mail truck, it seems way too overscale to me, and never looks right (even for OTTD). That's just me though.

As always, I'm looking forward to see what you come up with.

Could look at this idea just need figure out the side that next to the building.

Fire Brigade:- Total Town Replacement Set has a Fire Station in it .. wonder if they will allow be to use it as a object?

Police:- Photos I seen of the Ambulance Station over the years has been a few changes so I could do same .. the last version of it could make a Police and/or a fire station.

Garbage:- Might do a parking lot for Council Vehicles some thing like these.

Then this can be placed with Industries and other buildings.

Mail:- Think I will scrap this one for the time being as you mentioned looks a bit big.

Subject: Accidents and Emergencies.

In This month screenshot competition Theme is ACCIDENTS.
Got some ideas to go with The Police and Ambulance Stations and made some accident objects.
I moved the Police and Ambulance in to a new "Object Selection Menu" called "Accidents/Emergency".
You will find it at the bottom of the AuzTownObjectAddOns list.
You will find in Accidents/Emergency the following:
* Police Stations
* Police Car Park
* Police Cars (These overlap and park on side of the roads .. there a UK (left side) and a US (right side) sets)
* Ambulance Station
* Ambulance Car Park

* Vehicle Accidents (Has selection of 6 vehicles that crashed into a Tree .. all 4 directions).
* Vehicle Overlap Accidents (Has selection of 6 vehicles that left the road and ended by 2 tiles away .. This so you can place them on a railway track if like .. only face a northerly direction)
* Emergency Vehicles UK ( These have animated emergency vehicles that travel on the left side of the road .. you will find Ambulance, Fire Brigade, 2 Tow Trucks and 2 helicopters for all 4 directions)
* Emergency Vehicles US ( These have animated emergency vehicles that travel on the right side of the road .. you will find Ambulance, Fire Brigade, 2 Tow Trucks and 2 helicopters for all 4 directions)

Hope you able to design a good screenshot and enter it into the competition that can be found here.

Do you have a drawing program on your computer? If not can download for free one called GIMP.
I uploaded 2 template sets. 4x4 and 3x4 they include the coding.
In the gfx folder you will find templates. The blue ones are for 8 bit drawings which you will need to only use the colours in the palette, OR the ones on white back ground are for 32 bit graphics. Can use any colour you like.

It took me months to learn how to draw so don't give up. Some times it gets up setting so just have a week or 2 break and then come back and try again.

I first tried to draw the whole object and found that hard .. so I started drawing pieces separately and joined them together later like I did to that Ambulance Station.

Thanks a lot! I will download the file from you today. I'm leaving for the night shift in a little while. But then I have a week off. I'll get to that. I have a CorelDraw drawing program, so I'll try it in that.
I can't draw, but I'll try... :-D
I'd like to draw it in 32bpp graphics, but I'll see if I can when I get around to it...
