Maglev Track Set 2.6 (Released 19-05-2022)

Re: Maglev Track Set 2.2 (Released 27-07-2019)
The basecosts mod doesn't seem to affect track costs for this. The set allows x4 build costs, but that's not nearly enough for our tastes - endgame track should cost hundreds of thousands per tile to have something to sink those billions into.
Anyone have an idea how we could raise the costs for these tracks?

The order of the additions is important ...
If you want Base Cost Mod to affect an addon that has its own price multiplier, it must be below it.
Remember, however, that changing the location of one or another addon can affect the cost of other additions ... Good luck.

Hmmm. I did try that already. But your screenshot gives me hope! I shall fiddle with it some more tonight thanks!LaChupacabra wrote: ↑01 May 2020 10:26 The order of the additions is important ...

Re: Maglev Track Set 2.2 (Released 27-07-2019)
If set below "U & Re RMM 2", Urban Maglev tracks will not be displayed.
It is displayed when set to the above. It may not need to be fixed, but I will report it.

The Urban Maglev tracks have been moved to the top. I have no idea why, but it is still displayed.wicket-303 wrote: ↑02 Jun 2020 18:40 If set below "U & Re RMM 2", Urban Maglev tracks will not be displayed.

I had to fix a problem similar to an issue in the trackless trackset, where on an incline, the ground would appear to be floating.

Re: Maglev Track Set 2.2 (Released 27-07-2019)
I've gotten this request many times. I never quite figured out how to fix this. I now have an additional parameter. I can't promise that you won't have to tweak the order in which grfs are loaded, but Transrapid tracks now cost anywhere between £15 and £68 812 815. That should be enough, right?Korenn wrote: ↑01 May 2020 09:11 The basecosts mod doesn't seem to affect track costs for this. Re: Maglev Track Set 2.5 (Released 11-02-2021)
Hi, I have to report that the maintanence cost modifications are just not working at all here. the high-speed and low-speed specific ones operate fine (would be nice to extend the multipliers beyond 4x on those as well), but:
1) the additional cost modification appears to just do nothing. whatever I set it to, the costs don't change.
2) the "override stock maglev track with" setting appears to not change the maintance cost of the stock maglev track, so whatever the stock maglev track is, your NewGRF is not controlling the maintance costs?
the same appears to be going on with construction costs.
This is with U&ReRMM for regular rail. Ordering of the NewGRFs has no effect.

Re: Maglev Track Set 2.2 (Released 27-07-2019)
Maintenance costs are a nightmare. I don't know how to do anything with that, and I don't play with money anyway, so I don't think I'll fix it.

Re: Maglev Track Set 2.6 (Released 19-05-2022)
Struggling to figure out how to integrate RIMS, FRIMS, the Vactrain set, and some other track set, in the same world. Firstly, the Vactrain set will mess up the costs a lot and often make it so whatever is set as the maglev replacement track will cost more than all the others – but, I guess that's more of a Vactrain set problem. The costs also seem to not be consistent between all the high speed maglev tracks in general when using this with any track set that provides multiple tiers of track. More importantly, though, I have no idea how to integrate the graphics so Vactrains can run on normal uncovered maglev track. There seems to be no way to disable at least one of the maglev track types being the replacement for the default, and whatever is the default maglev track type, will be overridden by the Vactrain set with FS-Maglev track. It might make sense to maybe modify the Vactrain set to use one of the track types from this set, but in that case, I am not sure which track type would make the most sense for it.

Re: Maglev Track Set 2.6 (Released 19-05-2022)
Upon some research, I'm thinking it might make sense to split the vactrain set into several different track types based on track types from this set. What do the two letters in the middle of each track code stand for?
Re: Maglev Track Set 2.6 (Released 19-05-2022)
Those two letters follow the Standardised Railtype Scheme: https://newgrf-specs.tt-wiki.net/wiki/S ... ype_Scheme
