Thanks for telling me. Switching the order of the NewGRFs should fix this. I'll upload a definitive fix when I next update the tram set.

So, I'm using the North Korean Track Set with American Bridge Replacement Set, and though I feel it makes sense that they don't work together, I wonder who I am to blame that the bridges look so brown :P

I made the bridge sprites so they work nicely with Auz bridges.

These bridges match the bridges on pictures in North Korea the best.

I've received this remark a few times now, so I'll see what I can do to make it work with U&Bridges, and most other bridge sets.

For the NewGRF competition, I've decided to make a landmark set.

DPRK Objects 1.0 - 25/04/2021
Image
The first release has 3 landmarks: the Juche Tower, the Ryugyong hotel and the Arch of Reunification.

The Ryugyong hotel is significantly smaller than it is IRL. At the same scale as the Arch of Reunification, it would have been 9x9 tiles, and it would have been 630 px tall. I instead decided to go for a 3x3, and 170px tall.

Redid the code. The houses are now generated from a csv file, much like how FIRS and Iron Horse are generated. Some random switches have been moved around so expect pretty much all your houses to look different now. It's compatible, but some of the houses might look different, and you'll have to put up with "Station XYZ now accepts mail" for a bit as every single station adjusts.

Changed: Restructured codebase, employed templating using Python

For me, switching the NewGRF order didn't change the running costs. The North Korean Tram Set seems to multiply running costs for many other NewGRFs regardless of the NewGRF list order. What works for me is using the Base Costs NewGRF (should be downloadable from BaNaNas) and loading it in last. Doing so seems to reset the running costs to normal. I usually use the Base Costs NewGRF whenever I am combining sets and find one or more of them have unintended effects on costs.

Yesterday I found some stuff on twitter, so of course I had to add it. I also decided to add the invisible stuff that we had a discussion about a while ago. I'd made an invisible locomotive NewGRF for narrow gauge a year or so ago because I needed it for a screenshot, and I reckoned I might as well add it to the main game. I also added the wagons that Gary came up with, which act like spacers for sidings.

I've been very busy with university work, so I didn't get nearly as far as I wanted, but we're now at the deadline for the competition so I will publish it as is. Originally I was planning on adding planes as well, but alas.

North Korean Aviation Set 1.0 - 25/04/2021
Image
This NewGRF not only adds new airport objects, mostly compatible with the fake airport objects NewGRF, but it also adds small airports with or without depot which you can use on either end, or in the middle of a runway. Planes won't be able to use eyecandy objects, but at least your eyecandy objects can now be flown to.

TIP: use the "Jetplanes will not crash (frequently) on small airports" cheat, as these airports are small.

It looks like I may have found a bug in the brown narrow gauge open wagon; when refitted for grain it will render wrong when full:

Using DPRK Industries v1.1 individually or with the DPRK Industries Fix I do not seem to be able to select "Extended" under any conditions

Is this because it's not implemented yet? Or is it a bug?

Looking forward to v2 regardless - the DPRK sets force me to play in different ways to typical games and I love that
DPRK Industries No Externded.png
(137.99 KiB) Not downloaded yet
Additionally, with DPRK Tracks - Can the start date for the earliest tracks be made earlier? Sometimes I use the DPRK Trains alongside the xUSSR set or other sets from East Asia which tend to have stuff from the mid 1800s

Many thanks for your continued work with this
