Re: The Thread Of Randomness
In 1986, Swedish prime minister Olof Palme was shot and killed while walking home from a night out with his wife Lisbeth. The murder was never solved, although a man was wrongfully sentenced before being acquitted in a higher instance.
On Wednesday, the so-called Palme group (a group of the Stockholm Police working solely on the murder of our Prime Minister), will present their findings. They have announced, earlier this year, that they will be identifying who was behind the attack. Whether or not they will identify an individual or a group remains to be seen, but this investigation has been active for almost 35 years and being able to identify the killer(s) is a massive development.
The Wikipedia article, and the many theories mentioned therein, is a good read:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assassina ... Olof_Palme
Personally, the two most likely theories mentioned in this article I identify as "South Africa" and "The Skandia Man".

Re: The Thread Of Randomness
Well they did name The Skandia Man today, but the evidence is circumstantial. He was at the scene, his description fits that of the suspect, and he left by running in that direction.Chrill wrote: ↑08 Jun 2020 15:17 The Wikipedia article, and the many theories mentioned therein, is a good read:

However, there is no technical proof, no weapon, no DNA. All in all, this does not feel all that certain. Likely, yeah, but certain? No.

Archipiélago Hermoso (Latest Release: Version 3.2)
Turnpike Falls (Latest Release: Version 0.91)

Re: The Thread Of Randomness
Just droppes in today, a bit early in the morning, because I liked to play a new game, looking for new content and updating maybe.
I'm amazed by how large the Bananas list have become. Hard to find the right update.
But that didn't matter, because in the meanwhile I discovered mods for Transport Fever which include trains from the Netherlands...
So, it's back to Transport Fever.
Question to other players of Transport Fever: Is the map 1:3 really bigger than 1:1? It does look more rectangular.
Oh yeah, I bought Doom via my Steam account for only €6,-... Well, €5,99 actually.
I'm back gaming the new stuff!
EDIT: I found out about the map size, but I like 1:1 better.

Andel is a retired moderator, which is a special rank for former moderators who either choose to retire from moderating, or have not been online in a bit.

Over a year ago now I think - a few former moderators were retired at that point.

Re: The Thread Of Randomness
Scotland has been absolutely hammered by rain today and last night.
This is the Lochgelly Raceway, betwen Dunfermline & Kirkcaldy
It used to look like this: https://i.ibb.co/HpC16qg/photo-2020-08-12-14-19-26.jpg
It now looks like this: https://i.ibb.co/BCc6fMg/photo-2020-08-12-14-19-28.jpg
A train has also derailed in the downpour which is looking a serious accident, I've posted about that in the real world forum here; viewtopic.php?p=1235137#p1235137

Re: The Thread Of Randomness
Honestly, forget Demolition Derbies with cars. It's time to bring in Demolition Derbies with boats! What could possibly go wrong!
Re: The Thread Of Randomness
Is there anyone here who has a clue when the new Maglev will be introduced in Europe's temperate climate, this year? After all, it's 2020 already.
I wish OpenTTD was a forecast to this.

Re: The Thread Of Randomness
oh wow that company is still alive. I'm fairly sure it lives off people wanting to see if the service is as horrible as the website (from what I have heard, probably yes).Chrill wrote: ↑23 Sep 2020 08:06 https://www.lingscars.com/
What even is this? It hurts my eyes so bad, but I want more.
the reviews for the company have the most ridiculous replies from the owner, for example;
