Registration not working
Hello,
There is little problem with registration. ReCaptcha V1 not working, you must change to newest version.
Thanks

Re: Registration not working
I got the same when I signed up about a week ago, however when I pushed the refresh button on it, it gave me a new, working captcha. So, it still does seem to work fine, as long as you refresh the captcha code. Not sure what exactly is with this, perhaps the company who the forums are using for them are trying to gain something from claiming this. But then that's just conjecture.Chrill wrote:Thanks for your feedback! I got the same issue, it looks like this.

In the land of TriMess, you either choose to be stuck in traffic for over an hour, or, rely on TriMet, only to encounter constantly late buses, broken down buses, drivers ignoring waiting riders, or, light rail trains ran as commuter trains that consistently encounter switch, light and lift issues. According to them and the rest of the government run transit agencies, it's the world's "Transit Mecca". Europe, save us, please.

Re: Registration not working
Actually, if you enter the exact text "V1 SHUTDOWN etc. bla bla" then the captcha works.

Re: Registration not working
Sorry about the delay - this should now be fixed.
Re: Registration not working
Hopefully the "I'm not a bot" reCAPTCHA is efficient at actually stopping bots. Human spammers are really hard to prevent but this may still help us!

Hopefully it will help, indeed!
Re: Registration not working
What about attachments ?
Also, bot spams from computers used by humans might not be countered - Re-capthca in the usual sense usually let known IPs even from other (not-this-forum) instances to pass. For example, as I already used CAPTCHA enough on this IP, the CAPTCHA here doesn't ask to identify stuff anymore.

The captcha won't get through everything, and a lot of spam that does get through is posted by actual humans, not by bots.YNM wrote:Also, bot spams from computers used by humans might not be countered - Re-capthca in the usual sense usually let known IPs even from other (not-this-forum) instances to pass. Given what the last 5-posts spam did...orudge wrote:What about them?YNM wrote:What about attachments ?
Well, just to reduce it a bit more...orudge wrote:The captcha won't get through everything, and a lot of spam that does get through is posted by actual humans, not by bots.
