FUN Population Contest?

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear TT-Forum Family;

Would it be kind of fun to compete for the
Highest populated city? It's there for the
challenge. The "pros" have made it so there's
hardly no limits. NO rules. NO prizes. Just build!:D

Feedback appreciated.

Always,
Jim Powers

Zetor, the polite way to say that would be:
That sounds fun! I'll give it a go!
BTW. This should be in General TTDPatch or TTD forums, this forum's just for suggesting new features for TTDPatch.

Dear TT-Forum Family;

Thanks for including me,in your "cool" family,
(even if I am a bit stupid.) I'm sure that Mr. Zetor
is trying to keep the rules straight, and he's right.
I never participated in a "Chat Room", so this is
all new to me and I want to play by the rules also.

You can't be stupid if you can make such a nice scenario.:D

And Zetor2003 doesn't confine himself to the rules, so he shouldn't try to make others do so.

No it isn't.
It's quite nice to see someone who can still write letters properly.
It's a welcome change and a bit of change from the norm in a good sense

Forum Welcome

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear TT-Forum Family,

I do appreciate your encouragement to
stay with this forum and I will. Mr. Zetor
seems to have an unusual sense of humor
and I respect that also. Mr. Spacem-Spiff
and Mr. Bart have been most gracious in
allowing me to be here and I thank them
profusely. If I might be an asset, then, I'm
pleased and I hope others are also.
Thanks Men.

Always,
Jim Powers

I remember on the mailing list someone was posting something wacky about a 200'000 pop town, I never quite followed it as he never posted a link. Honstly, I think it was a bit of a farce.
Anyhoo, is the competition here for creating the largest single town, or servicing the town the best, or what?

There IS a 200,000 scenario and more.....Mine

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear TT-Forum Family,

Seems like the "right hand don't know what the left hand is doing".
Under the "Problems" Forum I happen to have not one but two, maybe
three scenarios with huge cities. San Diego over 200,000, Seattle over
300,000 and San Francisco 330,000 population. Attached are the
screen shots.

Jim, you're a strange guy.
I finally found your scenario's in the 'problems' forum of all places.
First up, Wow. Those are some large towns. In my experience of TT, I've found that towns will only expand up to the local authority range, but it seems the local auth range in your save is A LOT larger than normal.
In any case, however you did it, Good Work.
Perhaps a guide on how we can also create our own 'Extreme Edition Towns' in our scenarios would also be helpful.

Mammonth City Scenario

Post by Jim Powers »

Mr. Maverick;

I appreciate your kind words of encouragement.
I might let you know that this afternoon I expanded
[1] city in my latest scenario (San Francisco) to 380,000 people!

That's the largest city known in TTDLX, Sir.
Will let our fine TT-Forum Family know when I get it finished.
(I have screenshots for the *unbelievers*)

Always,
Jim (City Maker) Powers
