First "deroadment" on Cambridge busway

A driver was treated for shock on Nov 18 after his bus caught the kerb on an opening between Swavesey and Huntstanton, causing the bus to turn 45' across the busway.

Stagecoach UK confirm that it was caused by driver error. No passengers were injured.

Unfortunately, there was no replacement train available.

Discuss.

Either way, they seem to be able to keep it a secret quite well, because I can't find any pictures or news items on it. But this was bound to happen sooner or later, really.

It's not as if there aren't signs. I cycle along the busway every week, and at EVERY single entrance to it, there are almost TOO many signs. Including some to tell cyclists to use the adjacent psychopath. The driver could be non-English speaking, but it's still pretty obvious that this isn't a normal road!
