So nobody noticed that the Port doesn't process accepted cargo then? :roll:

Will fix.

@hyronynmous, still sounds like a FIRS bug tbh, unless you have a transfer order. Cargo is moved first to accepting tiles, not vehicles afaik. Might be wrong.

No, transfer wasn't an order. And about ports: are they available in temperate climate?

No, transfer wasn't an order. And about ports: are they available in temperate climate?
You can use the Arctic basic economy in the temperate climate and it'll show up.

Just started a new game trying FIRS for the first time. Just wondering which industry would be the best to start with to help my profits grow?

Set up your Engineering supplies network first. Industries which receive supplies increase their output. http://wiki.openttd.org/FIRS for more game tips.

A good FIRS moneymaker is a fast passenger rail line between two large towns (at least 1,000 population each). :wink:

This may vary depending on vehicle newgrfs, but usually works.

Produce to breweries and alcohol to towns is a good moneymaker too, alcohol receives a nice payment. Same goes for building materials.

Thanks for the help. The game is one I created and all the 1000+ towns are too far apart. The closest industries I found are an Oil Well and Oil refinary (back to the original industries). The Oil wells is quite high producing already. now to connect it with others to get the engineering supplies delievered

Bit of a silly request.

The part of FIRS that allows you to change the station ratings mechanics, is there a chance that this could be made into a separate newgrf? I really like having those altered mechanics, even with other industry sets.

Would anyone mind telling me what ports are? Unless there's something I'm missing, and it's just short for airports.

bad... since everything else is in English

and for whatever reason this happens with the recent nighties of OTTD but not the stable
It seems like the problem is with the openttdcoop hosted file. Bananas grf is fine.

Wrong language ID in the Italian translation. Fixed for next release, meanwhile use Bananas file. Thanks for the report :)

Can't seem to be able to build grain mills in scenario editor. I had existing mills from older version of firs. Deleted all industries on map and took firs out of grf list and added new version. I've tried building in towns and out of town etc. Using 0.9.3 and year in scenario editor is 1820. Really hoping to get those nice windmills back :)
