Cannot buy trams anymore.

Hey guys,

I've got a problem with trams.
I started my game at 1950.
After a while I was able to build trams.
So I decided to use them.
I play with "auto replace old vehicles".
So after a while I get the error message "vehicle cannot be replaced" (in this case vehicle is one of my trams ^^)
So I decided to replace it manually. But I am not able to buy trams anymore.
Is this a "time gap"? (I'm currently playing at ~2050)

that depends on the vehicle set (NewGRF) you use.

There might be no tram available anymore at that date. But I'll consider that a bug and we shall fix that with ogfx+rv

Btw, using "old wagons new cargos" along with OpenGFX+Trains is not necessary.

Is the setting Vehicles never expire turned on? You can find it somewhere in the Advanced Settings window under Vehicles. If it is off, turn it on and open the console using ~, type resetengines and hit Enter.

That highly depends on your keyboad locale. It's the key left of "1"

Okay, after "vehicles never expire" is set to true (on) and "resetengines" I can buy trams.

But does that really solve my problem?
What does "vehicles never expire" mean?

I want my vehicles to get old ^^

Yeah I already got that (with the "old wagons new cargos" and OpenGFX+Trains). But I do not want to restart my game
Will it help, if I send you my save game to fix "the bug"?

What does "vehicles never expire" mean?

Vehicles normally have a certain period of time in which they are available for purchase. This setting extends this time to infinity, so that all vehicles remain available for purchase once they are introduced. It does not change any thing else, so vehicles will still get old and need to be replaced at some point.
