Thank you gentlemen, for your compliments. Romazoon, your screens where actually an inspiration for me. I love your style, so I thought maybe I can do that too. :D

Paris was difficult. I build all major terminus stations, but I left out Gare de Austerlitz and Gare de Bercy. Gare de Lyon takes over from Bercy and Gare de Montparnasse from Austerlitz. After building all the terminus stations, I´ve build a motorway around Paris (which is still not in use) and a circle shaped railway (a grande ceinture :P, which is, by the way, still not in use, but will be used for Transilien and RER services als well as freight trains (FRET)) Paris has not metro like in real life, because I do not want to demolish half of the city. The intention is to serve it with RER trains. So far, only RER A is in service, which runs from Melun via Gare de Lyon and Gare du Nord to Roissy-Charles de Gaulle Aéroport. I use SNCF BB22200 loco´s wiht double deckers for line A.

Marseille isn´t that interesting, so I will skip that.

Lyon however is serviced by three stations: Perrache, Part Dieu and Lyon Aéroport St Exupéry (TGV only). It also has a small freight station.

So, after my exams and before my re-examination (or whatever it is called in English :P ) I thought it would be a good time for some screenies!

After my previous screens, I completed almost the entire eastern network. Only the lines to Saarbrucken in Germany need to be completed and after that I will focus on Reims and surroundings.

Enjoy!

Looks nice! Like your combination of GRF's. Especially like the station in the second shot.
You should give the dutch road furniture a try for your highway! (Although they are a pain to place without 'dragable newObjects')

Nice shots !

A small tips in case you need a bit more space in front of Gare de lyon. You could exchange the canal tiles with an "acqueduc" and make the crossing underneath the acqueduc ;)

I got a little bored and started a new game. Perhaps I will pick it up agian later.

Anyway, I am now playing with the Svalbard scenario (made some modifications) and using UKRS and Pikka´s basic industries, starting in 1875. Enjoy!

seen your lovely charming style of networks, it would use a newgrf for houses and roads, e.g. the north american roadset and the swedish house set.

I´ve changed the roadset to NA roads. But I want to keep all city´s relatively small, so I decided to use Pikka´s house set, which does not contain skyscrapers for a more rural look.

Anyway, some more screens!

I use a lot of Newgrf´s, here is a summary of them:

Trains: UKRS and the UKRS addon set.
Road: BATS, Bobs British Busses, Ikarus set, Hungarian truck set, eGRVTS, HEQS
Ships: FISH
Planes: av8
Stations: Canadian Stations, CHIPS, Industrial stations renewal set, MB´s NewStations, Modular Locomotive Sheds. I have a lot more in my list, but I don´t use them at the moment.

Some other GRF´s:
Total Bridge Renewal Set
NA Roads
German Signals
MariCo
Dutch Catenary
Dutch Road Furniture
UK Town set

If you have any specific questions, like `What set contains that tram?`, please ask.

The company is now in 1938 and the first diesel trains are entering. Traffic is increasing, especially freight. Food is being deliverd to remote towns, high in the mountains using trucks. In the capital Longyearbyen, the freight line to the harbour, is dividing the city, so plans are being made to build a tunnel.

Freight trains are hauled by 2-8-0F locomotives, and some 2-6-0 Moguls
Local, short passenger trains are mostly hauled by 2-6-4 Suburbans, while longer trains are hauled by old, but reliable, 4-4-0 Edwardians. Fast trains and express trains use 4-6-2 Pacific´s. 4-6-2 Streaks are available to buy, but are considered to big for the company and unprofitable.
The Mail divison uses 4-6-0 King Arthurs. However, the mail trains run with a loss, so the mail divison will be re-organised soon.

UK trains in a North American style climate is rather odd. However, I like the style of your railways.
