RIMS - Real International Maglev Set 1.6 (27-06-2020)

RIMS - Real International Maglev Set
It's me! The guy who made Modern Maglev Trains back in 2016. I had plans for an ultimate version 2.0 of MMT with all the obscure historical maglevs that noone's ever going to bother to want to use in game. After a while I figured that I would remake MMT with a focus on realism. This set, which later in development became known not as MMT 2.0 but as RIMS, the spiritual successor of MMT, has 16 maglev trains that in the present, past or near-future have been, are, or will be used commercially for a wee bit longer than just a single EXPO.
The low speed maglevs all have a set length, as per realism, and some even have multiple liveries. The high speed maglevs have carriages that can carry passengers and mail. The Transrapid even has goods carriages!

Since version 1.3 the maglevs also support company colours and some low-speed maglevs can be lengthened with wagons, allowing you to play however you want.

You forgot the M70/2, they were in function on the Braunschweig test track and the Berlin Magnetbahn.

I made the set with the intention of including only the trains that have been used commercially. You could buy tickets for the Transrapid 07 & 09 to take a trip on the train on the test track in Emsland. The same goes for the MLX and the Yamanashi test track. I can find no proof for such tickets for earlier Transrapids, earlier SCMaglev vehicles or the M70/2.

If you want to use the M70/2 you're free to use Modern Maglev Trains.

Well the M70/2 has been in service on the Magnetbahn i think. Also, has this set superseded MMT ? MMT is no more available in your sig.

The M70/2 was indeed in use, but it was never for commercial purposes. IIRC.

RIMS is the spiritual successor of MMT, but MMT is still available on the forums and Bananas. And according to the rules I can only have 2 images in my signature.

When applying MTS, an error has appeared.
Can not be used in conjunction with RIMS?

No. MTS only works with MMT as far as i know.

In OpenTTD only 16 railtypes at a time can be loaded. MTS, by default, loads 5. The bug that occurs here has nothing to do with RIMS, but instead with Japan Set Tracks. Japan Set Tracks, by default, takes up 15/16 of those slots. MTS has an option to override one of those, therefore RIMS can load up to 2 railtypes. For the purposes of a Japanese playthrough, you will need to set the parameters to the following:
Image
Also make sure to disable Japanese maglevs in the RIMS parameters, and set the purchase costs to the costs labelled with "(Japan Set)", as it will make the NewGRF balanced against the Japan Set Trains NewGRF, as well as with NATS, TIAS and RIPper's JPT Addon.

I designed RIMS to be used in conjunction with MTS and Japan Set. I even made RIMS forward compatible with a future version of MTS, which is being worked on, albeit slowly. This future version will also make it so the one you select for "Override stock maglev track with:" won't magically be compatible with all maglev trains. The railtype names will also be more intuitive than they are now.

Of course it was. The last months before it was abandoned because of the reconstruction of the U2 (was separated into two lines, one in East Berlin, one in West Berlin) one had to have a regulary BVG-ticket.

If actually you want to use all maglev tracks and trains, then use JGR's patchpack, it allows loading of up to 32 railtypes.

That's the M80/2. And it wasn't the last months; it was 13 days.
