rbos86' Screenshots

Post by rbos86 »

Hello! :D :P 8) My name is rbos86.

This is my first time in the screenshots section. I play most of the time with classic industry, TotalTownReplacement, Newbridges and av8 planes, FISH ships and Dutch Trainset 2. Note that I play alone with no competitors, with fairly easy difficulty settings.
I build my trains and that is a great game already, making the cities grow by passenger transport and industrial cargoes.

Recently I have build this passenger line from my local region (Achterhoek, east of the Netherlands). No reality in this one except from the trains which looks great. Both Syntus trains are there. See the next pictures:

I didn't how to figure out the timetables yet, that's why they both are in the neighbourhood of the same station. One follows the other, while they could spread out much better. Any tips are welcome... I'm gonna learn tomorrow about timetables on the wiki -pages.

I started a new game after I finished the one with the earlier screenshots.

I use bigger map size: 512 x 1024
I started using: Dutch signals
Starting year: 1925

A quick overlook what I created in 5 years:

I want the goods -trains to maintain speed as much as possible. To reach that I did it like this. This way I use fewer height differences, the train needs to climb lesser times. The train rides from basic level over railroads right onto the talud all with one bridge.

Should I build dikes to get the same effect?

If you play with realistic acceleration turned on (in advanced settings), your trains won't slow down on every up hill they come across!

I do like the screens though!

In the year 2044 my industry has grown thanks to the higher production of the iron ore -mines, one extra iron ore -train for that, and two extra iron -trains (yes, two, because I was transporting too few, to be exact 22%) to the factory.
R. C. Bos Transport, 13 Apr 2044.png
(434.49 KiB) Downloaded 13 times

And the factory is here, with grain coming in from a nearby farm in the north, livestock from the west, and iron from previous industry. 2 Goods -trains ride to the west to supply bigger cities, and trucks ride to the cities on the bottem and right of this screen:
R. C. Bos Transport, 24 Apr 2044.png
(449.95 KiB) Downloaded 13 times

All industries reach over 68% transported now.

And I broke a personal record of mine in the year 2050. Thanks to a bigger level, I began 25 earlier (1925), and I found out the autorenew and autoreplace -function. Without that I still would be manually replacing trains.

This is what the personal record looks like:

It's a bit puzzeling, but you should use an end piece for the overpass, it now sticks over the train.
