Comboios de Portugal ..
translation: Portugal trains..

There have been a few offering of Comboios de Portugal for Locomotion. As of right now, None exist. (To My knowledge). Comboios de Portugal Buys their trains from all over the world. They make no trains in Portugal. That might make this set a little more interesting over all. You will see American, French, German and other trains all together. This set should eventually be Automod and wood-chip mod compatible. it should have offerings for both freight and passenger fans alike. perhaps even a touch of traction in there.

This should be a slow set built in my off time and boredom so please hold off on the "Is it done yet?" Questions. Although the more interest in this project I see, The faster I will work on it.


I started on the freight portion first hoping that perhaps the lost passenger Pack might be found if I stir up CP interest. I was planning make those also.
As of right now I have Sprites made for almost all the Diesel and Electric Locomotives. If someone could pick up the coding part. that would rock. I would be able to shoot off all the sprites in a day or two. I do have the data/stats for the trains so we are off to a fast start already.

I know I usually stick to North American Stock and have only dabbled In world stock. that is because i usually spend more time doing research then making the trains, Also usually their are other LoMo modders working those regions and I try and be courteous of them. This open territory.. I have permissions for the entire set and there is a team assembled to to work on this set...

it is planned to be done 100% in MHQ at this point. ( I don't think i can even install MSTS2lomo anyways)

I'll try and post WIP shots at bits are updated. I might do something different here, posting each piece as it becomes available instead of making You wait for the full pack. then I'll pack it as a set when it is finished.

Wow, thats the only thing I can say.
As a Dutch railfan, may I ask you to make -if possible- the Allan-Railcars (old and redesigned, standard and narrow gauge) ?
They are based upon the Dutch DE I and DE II old types.

This is the Allan 350, they are the renewed ones.... the older ones, well, they are all gone
But yes! It will be included!

No the old Allans were pretty ugly
The redesigned ones are better.
But there is a lot of interesting stuff to be found over there in Portugal.
(I hope one day CP will earn enough money to build better trains... )

And years from now, Portugal will be connected to the "Spanish TGV", the AVE
But CP is doing a thing that i am not so happy!
Its selling my favourite locomotive to Argentina!! And many others....
My favorite locomotive is CP1930!

You meant this one, the Portugese version of the Siemens Taurus.

AVE is comin' to Portugal and, as I read in the trainliterature, Portugal will be building more railtracks in standard gauge.

I hope the narrow gauge net will be kept, for it is unique.
