Request for a Savegame

Post by Jewnior »

I was wondering if someone had a savegame that showcased 100% performance index.

I'd like to see how people get to that performance index and what their maps and routes look like because I am having serious troubles with that.

I don't have a ton of mods so I'd imagine the more default the game is, the better, eh?

Cheers if you can help,

Jewnior

Sorry, I don't have any savegames that aren't heavily modded, besides this is via blackberry, but my advice is to use locowrapper to make never obsolete dats with no break-downs, then start slowly adding line by line connected or not of transportation. Once you can afford planes then use them. After that just keep adding busses and what not until you reach 100. Keep in mind that you will plataeu at 100 for a while then dip down a little every once in a while. Hope this helps. :D

I don't have a savegame either, but I can tell you how I did it with the original set of objects in the game (of course it's no big deal if you use specially tailored vehicles...).

Lets call it the "subway approch": Connect two cities as far as possible from each other with 8 straight underground tracks, no curves, no slopes, no crossings, no stations in between, one train on each track. On both sides of every track build a 10 piece station (thus an 80 piece station over all). This way, nothing can disturb or slow down the eight trains transporting passengers between the cities over a long distance, resulting in optimal profits. And you do not occupy space in the cities with your tracks - above every station can be buildings to produce passengers...

Of course this is not all cheap to build. I earned the money for this huge investment transporting goods (iron, coal). And - important - establishing a tram system in both of the involved cities. This not only makes money but also helps the cities grow in order to produce enough passengers once the subway ist finished.

Finally, make the trains as long as possible still fitting in the 10 piece stations, use the fastest models available and keep them in good shape. If necessary plan a second, similar line...
