minimum profit needs to be adjusted

it is inside the detailed performance rating thing. minimum is set at the equivalent of 1 loan payment as minimum profit for all vehicles in order to get points. that works well for trains, ships and planes but, it is impossible for trucks, buses and trams. maybe you should split it in 4: trucks, buses and trams, trains, ships and planes. each of which can have a separate minimum which privides 25 points if fullfilled. the way it currently works, having any trucks, buses or trams leaves that score at 0%. that means that players that wants to win needs to drop trucks, buses or trams completely.

probably better use of your effort to rip out the current rating system, and design a new one

maybe you have a point. the other areas is fairly easy to max however. minimum profit however is impossible to keep above 0% when using trucks, buses or trams. passanger services also generates too little income but, that is a different problem all together. that is caused by fewer passengers being generated than other cargo.

Also cargodist or any transfer combined logistics generate negative income for some vehicles, even if it is 'fake' negative income due to transfer calculations, it would give 0% of minimal income rating. Such rating+transfer calculations are broke from the very beginning of TTD.

Maybe instead of minimum profit, we could use average station rating (with exception of stations without rating, to not penalize stations used as way-points)?

that sounds like a good idea.
