Fric**n signals is gonna be the end of me

Hey guys!

Im gonna start out by saying im sorry for potentially sound like a broken record(i’ve not presented this problem before, but someone else probably have)...

But i’m having trouble with trainsignals, and hope some of you can help me..

To my somewhat shakey defence, i have’nt played OTTD in 6 years, so i’m a bit rusty - but here goes:

Why is the next to last signals before stadion green when alle tracks are full, and the last lights to handle each track are red?
Don’t matter what other signals i switch to..all are showing green..so what am i missing here?

the problem with this for me, is that the train is gonna pass the signal, and get stuck behind a random and for some reason preferred stationtrack - and then the train has to wait for that specific train to load and be gone...typically(if trains are on "full load"-orders) it picks the worst track to get stuck in, and holds up sevral trains behind for a prolonged time..

This is the exact situation pre-signals were made for. Have a good look through this page: https://wiki.openttd.org/Signals

You can also solve this with path signals easily. With path signals you would only need the entry signal (the green arrow) to be a path signal while removing the rest (red arrows, but leave the ones after the platforms) entirely. Hope this helps

You just used the wrong signals. After a six-year break, you will have plenty to discover. A lot has changed, but the signals work the same as before.

Something about pre/path signals for those who prefer pictures...
