Clicking on news ticker opens wrong news item

Just switched to the latest version. It used to be that when you clicked on a news item in the news ticker at the bottom of the screen that you'd get the full report associated with that item. Now the news report you get seems to be the one associated with the default news ticker rather than the one you see. In other words, if you turn off certain news types so they don't appear in the ticker, when you click on the ticker you select a news item which doesn't even appear for you normally rather than the one you clicked on.
