I can't perfect the 332/333 to save my life. Feel free to take over or adapt these if you like.

Re: [OTTD] BRTrains - Development Thread
attached for reference some of the better work I have.
The mk3s are modified from those created by Ronstar.
One thing I would say, there is so much effort being put in to churning out liveries without necessarily getting the shape right first, this has befallen all the previous incarnations of the BRset but best of luck to you.

NSE, FGWL, and FGW DL all have white roofs, FGW PB has cloudy grey, and GWR is near black. The Growl wrote:Class 166

I can't completely disagree with this, but at least we have something we can put out and then they can be revisited later.Ameecher wrote:One thing I would say, there is so much effort being put in to churning out liveries without necessarily getting the shape right first, this has befallen all the previous incarnations of the BRset but best of luck to you.
Re: [OTTD] BRTrains - Development Thread
Which one of my models do you think this applies to? Assuming you're talking about in context of my mass fixing.Ameecher wrote:One thing I would say, there is so much effort being put in to churning out liveries without necessarily getting the shape right first, this has befallen all the previous incarnations of the BRset but best of luck to you.
Will fix.superalbs wrote:NSE, FGWL, and FGW DL all have white roofs, FGW PB has cloudy grey, and GWR is near black. The Growl wrote:Class 166

Re: [OTTD] BRTrains - Development Thread
I got a great news for you @Leanden. Nope, i didn't find the code, but i found something else. Check out this website. I found out this sentence
So i tried moving the train forward, got a usual result (Note the smoke for direction and where it comes out)
And then i tried reversing the train, and got that result that i was expecting for (Note the smoke for direction and where it comes out)
So basically, we need to play around with texturing and i think no coding at all for that (Correct me if i'm wrong though). I'm not sure if you know about this thing or not but hopefully not.
Reading it a little further, i found some NewGRF where he applied this concept to his NewGRFs, one of it is the UKRS2. And so i opted for a test. It wasn't just the DACH trains having that ability, but also NARS2 & UKRS2! Okay, back to the point, so i tried out with what he gave, an 0-6-0 Pannier & a Clerestory Carriage. Here's what i found:Trains in TTD cannot actually run backwards, so control cars in TTD are represented by switching the graphics of the vehicles in the train. They have no real gameplay effect and are just for appearance sake.

Re: [OTTD] BRTrains - Development Thread
I did have a long discussion about how to code this in a seperate thread and now know how to do it, but it means defining a whole new set of templates. I think i will only implement this onto DVTs and MUs which are asymmetric.

Re: [OTTD] BRTrains - Development Thread
My company is now searching for tons of new trainsets for multiple regions and they need it badly. I have convinced my staffs that new trainsets will be arriving shortly.
Anyway, I think i found a faulty tender lately when operating the A3s. It seems like the tender is offset, when it operates back and forth in an orientation. Here's the catch.
And also a question about these steam machines. Can they not pull a train that's about 8 tiles long by themselves? Because when i took this picture, they were moving so slow, luckily the line is not full so at least they don't delay other trains behind them. As far as I know, they said these engines can pull around 10 or less coaches only then they could achieve higher speeds. Since i am not from UK and have yet to do in-depth study of these trains, it'll be better if i ask first, right?
One more thing, my Eurostar e300 are struggling to reach 300km/h no matter how much passengers they're carrying, this includes empty trains while my e320 are doing just fine on 320km/h. My heavy train multiplier is on 1 so it's not multiplying and so should be fine. Other trains are doing just fine as far as i've tested them, only e300s are having this problem. Can you check or tweak them so that they'll perform better. As of currently, their top speed is just around 293-294 km/h which is still not satisfying though.

Re: [OTTD] BRTrains - Development Thread
I have yet to make any improvements on the class 92, but i will do later on. For now, I'm planning to make a Class 365 & possibly the remaining classes of the Networker Family. For now, if anyone wants to do improvements on my class 92 design, I'll publish the scripts to be used on this tool. Feel free to make improvements you think necessary on it.

There's already a 365 in the zip file, and I've already done the 465/466s.TheAmir259 wrote:I have yet to make any improvements on the class 92, but i will do later on. Re: [OTTD] BRTrains - Development Thread
Hi guys some bad news im afraid. Ive been diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel syndrome today and have been ordered by he doctor to limit my contact with computers for the next two months to aid with recovery. This means that coding will more or less come to a stand still until im cleared.
Hoping for a speedy recovery so i can get back to this and my other sets ASAP.
Leanden out!

Re: [OTTD] BRTrains - Development Thread
In case anyone still looks at this, I created a new class 170, much better than the old version IMO.
