Started working on my next Industry Set.
At the moment there is 71 Industries (reduced from 82).AUZIND2021
Looking at idea of introducing Industrial Estates where 2 or more Industries are grouped together.
Done 6 so far:
Industrial Estate 1 :Brick Works + Builders Yard
Industrial Estate 2 :Concrete and Lime Factory
Industrial Estate 3 :Oil and Chemical Refineries
Industrial Estate 4 :Metal Fabrication Plant and Furniture Factory
Industrial Estate 5 :Iron and Steel Mill
Industrial Estate 6 :Building Supplies, Machine Shop and Textile Mill
Added: 8/4/21
Industrial Estate 7 :Lumber Yard and Glass Works
Added: 10/4/21 - (See page 40 for images)
Industrial Estate 8 :Creamery + Brewery
Industrial Estate 9 :Food Processor and Sugar Refinery
Industrial Estate 10 :Cannery Company + Textile Mill
Planning to do a few more Industrial Estates and this will reduce the number of Industries even more.
Added shops to towns to increase the cargoes available within the towns.
There are 2 Industries you may or may not like .. Livestock Sale Yards and Grain Silos.
Farmers used to send their livestock to the sale yards .. from here they be sold (auctioned) to the Abattoirs or to other farmers as breeding stock.
Grain crops would be transported by horse and cart or trucks to the grain silo where the grain in stored until required. From here it would be railed to the Bulk Terminal for export or to the Flour Mills to produce flour.
There are 62 cargoes .. hope to add 2 more when I have a idea of what would be suitable. I want cargoes that be required by more then one Industry.
The cargoes so far are:
Alcohol, Bricks, Building Material, Cement, Chemical Pulp, Chemicals, chlorine, Clay, Coal, Cotton, Dairy Products, Diesel, Electrical Appliances, Engineering Supplie,s Farm Supplies, Fish, Flour, Food, Fruit, Furniture, Glass, Goods, Grain, Gravel, Iron Ore, Limestone, Livestock, Mail, Maize/Corn, Marine Supplies, Meat, Milk, Natural Gas, Nuts, Oil, Oysters, Packaging, Paper, Parcels, Passengers, Petrol, Pipes, Processed Foods, Processed Meats, Quicklime, Sand, Scrap Metal, Sheet Metal, Soft Drinks, Steel, Sugar, Textiles, Timber, Tropic Wood, Vegetables, Waste, Water, Wheat, Wholesale Merchandise, Wood, Wood Pulp, Wool

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------OTIS
Have you seen:
OTIS - One Tile Industry Set (Version 01 released 07 March 2021)
viewtopic.php?f=26&t=88584
Have a look to get idea what my intentions are for AuzOTIS.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This Industry set has given me a idea of a larger version .. hope to start on it when finished AuzInd2021AUZOTIS
1. Highly based on OTIS but to a larger scale.
2. Each Industry type will be represented where possible by 1 tile or as minimum tiles as possible and you then you build the rest.
2. For instance a Dairy farm might just be a building like this. Or maybe with free ranging cattle (cattle that not fenced in). .. you then have to buy your barns (sheds), maybe build a house, tractors, fences, milking sheds, more cattle and any crops you want to plant.
(In OTIS where 1 tile represents all farm types. Each type of farm in AuzOTIS will be represented by separate tiles).
3. A mine will just be a shaft going deep underground. you then have to add what ever else you want for your mine.
4. Like to represent each type of Industry with a separate tile of no more then 1 building if possible.
5. Touring around some towns and cities they have Industrial Estates and Commercial Zones. So maybe I could represent things like that as well very similar to OTIS.

Shall tell you more soon.
Cheers all
