RE: speed units: Somehow NARS2 changes the vehicle speeds from mph to kph when you switch, as do UKRS and eGRVTS.

yes, i know that, but that is because the speed is an ingame unit, while the text in the rail-list is a pure string.

A working workaround is to make two strings for english language, one kmh and one mph. If one then set language to English (US) and not English (UK) it can switch. Its not a good workaround, as language != speed unit setting, but it is a workaround none the less.

Tonight i've added the gfx i have at my disposal atm. The picture saies it all:
Image

I still lack 3rd rail gfx, as i hope for some company color capabilities for the 3rd rail, and use something similar to the metrosets gfx, but the yellow bar is CC, and not yellow :)
The planning rails still have no GFX, but that probably will come the next few days.

I've also not coded in new tunnels and road crossings, but this will also come when i get around to it. Now atleast can one see visual difference between the tracks :)

Getting some graphical glitches with the current nutracks- see screenshot. (Note: I understand this is a work in progress- just trying to help with the testing.)

The depots (or lack thereof) is the most noticeable. They do work- just the graphics are a bit messed up.

Also, when you make a crossing with the 120 kph and up, it doesn't look quite right.

There were a couple errors I got when trying to build X-overs where it said "track already built."

Also, there seems to be an extra base tile when I build a north-south X-over with 120 kph rail - see end of 120 kph rail by sign

Personally, I would prefer the "stock" rail graphics for 120 kph rail, and (if you can get permission to use the sprites) the grass-grown track graphics for the 80 kph lines. The current graphics for 120 kph would work for track planning, just maybe recolor to CC or 2CC.

You make really nice progress with this grf :D

For the graphis I have som suggestions:

80 km/h: Wood sleepers in gravel ballast

120 km/h: Wood sleepers in brown/old ballast (much like the defult rails)

160 km/h: Concrete sleepers in brown/old ballast

230 km/h: Concrete sleepers in grey/new ballast

High speed rails: Slab track/Permanent way/Fester Fahrbahn

I do not know if you agree on this, but if it can help you, I'm glad :)

I agree, thats a good proposal and would look also to my eyes more of a logical sequence that way, especially to using the 120km/h tracks as planning tracks instead; having them with some CC would be a nice bonus, but unfortunately is not yet possible.

That did the trick. I was testing with 1.0.0-rc2, r35 worked in that version.
Let's hope the change in trunk gets backported to the 1.0.0 branch. :)
