Here are two screenshots from a the same area in 1950 and 2051. They were taken with my own personal build to attempt to fix the bug PikkaBird reported. I will post two from the latest SVN version and two from unpatched TTD (unless someone knows when the deserttress patch was included) later.

Here are two screenie from a game from 1950 to 2033. The game was played using unpatched TTD for comparison against the previous two screenies. I will upload screenies of a game using r2369 if anyone would like to compare an extra set. I personally think from these 4 screenies, that overforrestation can be considered a non bug and closed.
