Oil well

Image

The black gold does not come out of the earth on its own. Oil wells are used for tapping the valuable raw material. And since oil wells are seldom located directly next to a refinery, transportation is a good business to be in. Whether one chooses to use convoys of trucks or rather a long train depends on the local conditions and is perhaps also a matter of personal taste.

Refineries

Last week we had a look at oil wells, tankers and many more things. This time we will take the chance to have a look a refinery. Many products are produced from crude oil in this industry. In the case of Transport Giant we will limit ourselves to probably the best known product – the refineries thus only produce gasoline.

Space centre

Image

A space centre is not only a hub of modern technology but also attracts hordes of visitors. Should you be so lucky to find this type of publicity attraction near your transport paths, you should seriously consider setting up a passenger line.

Hops Farm
Image
No beer without hops. That would really be a true loss for the average European. It is therefore no wonder that a hops farm is featured in the European scenarios of Transport Giant.
Everyone can thus transport hops to the brewery so that they can be used to produce tasty beer. The cunning entrepreneur then transports this to the surrounding towns and earns a fortune from the thirst of the town-dwellers.

Ore mine

Image

These mines extract the raw material needed to produce innumerable tons of steel. Ore, being very heavy, requires powerful transport vehicles. Therefore, ore trains are frequently linked up with several locomotives at once.

Steel works

Image

Steel works use iron ore to produce high-grade steel. We recommend you use only vehicles with a high load-bearing capacity for handling the heavy steel transports

A picture a day during Advent... :D :D
That could be good!
(especially if we see some 45 degree corners )

That steelworks looks quite good too, although a little too small I think.

Sheep farm

Image

Flocks of sheep munching happily away in paddocks are usually a happy sight, not least for the hauler. After all, the farmer will require somebody to bring the shorn sheep's wool to the textile manufacturers.

Cigar manufacture

Image

Cigar manufacture takes exquisite tobaccos and turns them into high-quality, wickedly expensive cigars. It pays for the hauler to make sure that the well-to-do town dwellers always have enough to smoke.
