Good god people, calm down! It's all gone now. Owen can remove mass postings quite easily. Probably not the worst spam attack on this forum either.

No, Running like a slaughtered chicken without heads. I hear they can still running.
Just try to chop a live chickens neck quickly then release it.

I've heard that too. Used to have many relatives downstate that owned farms. Good portion of land in a couple counties is owned by my mother's side of the family.

Anyway, I've often been wondering something: Where in the world (Literally) are most moderators or those with capability to delete spam posts? I'm under the impression that the majority are over in Europe.

Might be worthwhile to have a few in other parts of the world, too. Not only for the spambots, but also for the occasional flamewars, which can get pretty out of hand in only a couple hours!

There is a concentration of moderators from Europe, but I don't think all global moderators are. Raichase is Australian but I do not know if he is still around...

Patchman lives in America but I am pretty sure he is not around anymore either. Other than that, there are no global moderators from outside Europe. The main problem is that most people using these forums are European as well, thus making it perhaps more difficult to find moderators who are around when the others sleep. Of course, sleep is for the weak!

Patchman is back in Germany now, and has been for a few years. But he is indeed no longer active on the forums, alas.

Our active moderators are indeed mostly based in Europe. I'm not sure if that is likely to change in the near future.

It is when you accept that £10 bribe to promote me.

I'm not in Europe. At all.

Oh dear, you seemed to have missed Owen's email. The bribe is now raised to € 666,66 to cover for inflation, the economic crisis and a possible bankruptcy of Greece and Spain.

If we can rejuvenate the Greek economy, all we get is a moderator promotion? I would expect the Nobel Prize of Economics at the very least!

Could we make that £666.66 please? I'd like the bribe to actually be worth something, please.

Well, I found this is a very useful tool.

Could it be used for filtering spammers ? As I hate to see "our newest member" is actually spam, which just build up the number of members... Or are they deleted permanently so it doesnt appear in member ?
