New Sub Forum: "P1 SIM"

Hey Owen!

Would you mind creating a new subforum of "Other Projects and Games" called "P1 SIM" with the sub title "Traffic, Logistics, City-Building & more - Website here (www.p1sim.org)" and making me moderator of it?

I have built up a homepage for the project but i dont like the forum of tikiwiki. Instead I would like to be part of tt-forums and link it as "Forum" on the project's website.

Just try again. I think the server sometimes has problems to successfully load the tikiwiki cms.

In my opinion, P1 Sim might be a bit too small to earn a sub-forum already. On the other hand, there are some projects who used to enjoy such status at the bottom of these forums (see here). The project looks very promising to me, but is at a very early stage

I just wanted to place my wish for a sub forum here. If you want to wait some weeks before creating it, thats no problem for me.

Have you even created a beta download of it? I don't see how you could create a forum for a game without a beta (no beta = no possible problems/suggestions). So right now, the game is just a theory with a discussion page. Are there any other coders with you?

Says who? Have you seen a beta of Transport Empire being produced?

Let's make this arrangement, petert: if it comes down to running this forum the administrator and moderators call the shots.

The game is in the concept phase. I dont need the forum for posting bugs or asking questions about gameplay. I need the forum to develop the concept.

Are there any other coders with you?

Even I am not coding at the moment. The concept phase and the following software engineering phase will last some time (see website).

Thats true. I need it to give others users the possibility to present their ideas and sub concepts. At the moment this is done in one forum thread (see my signature). But that gets (or already got) quite confusing. It would be easier, if I had a sub forum with multiple sticky threads and multiple user created threads for different ideas (graphics, path finding, gui, track construction ...)

I'd still rather see a subforum for P1 Sim here. For example, Zugspiel has only got 19 topics. I can easily see a P1 Sim subforum grow bigger than that one, for instance.

Urgh, freeforums is quite horrible, in my opinion. But that is just my opinion, heh.

As for having a subforum here, it'd be possible, but ideally once the project is a little bit bigger. A bit more progress of some sort would probably be good.

So I will use the freeforum for the next weeks and if the project gets big enough, I hope to get a sub forum here

May I ask why you don't join the Transport Empire project. That is A LOT further ahead but is still in its early development stages so it can go any way you want it too.
