2D isometric view isn't unique to OpenTTD or Transport Tycoon Deluxe. It's been around for decades. It's nice to see how it's being used today.

Kinda do like those graphics though, if it were for a kids-friendly transport sim of sorts I'd buy that for my niece. Get on it someone. Not EA.

I like these graphics a lot. I wouldn't be surprised if they were made by someone who played this game or similar games as a kid. You gotta draw inspiration from somewhere, right?

2D isometric are still commonly used. If anything, a 3D still from the right angle would count as 2D isometric. It doesn't have to be this game.
