Nice to see someone getting into Graphics
If you really want a challenge, I suggest giving Macromedia Fireworks a try.
It's good for simple and amateur stuff. Fairly simple by comparison to others and quite fun

PS: I prefer the pixally one before athanasos wrecked it. It just looks blurry rather than crisp.
