It's been known to do the Newark - Grimsby service, and Derby - Matlock, so anywhere in the northern part of the EMT franchise.

This isn't the only youtube link of 153311, he is quite a star.

153311, then 142040, now meet the latest stalker: 144022...

Image

Seen here while the centre car was being refurbished (obv not my pic!). Back when i was younger me and my brother were sad enough to actually underline the numbers in Ian Allan/Platform 5 books as we saw them. 144022 was the last NL unit we needed to see, now i can't get away from it- it regularly runs the Leeds-Sheff via Huddersfield of an evening, or spends the day up and down the penistone line...

I was about to ask why it was in 2-car form.

basically the driving cars are owned by whichever ROSCO, but the centre cars (were) owned by WYPTE, so initially the 3car units ran with shiny new high-backed 2+2 seating, with the centre cars keeping their old bus benches for a few months, til Metro got their backsides in gear.

Regarding 142040, it actually turned up last Saturday when Bittern came into Manchester Piccadilly for the first time ever, also first time a A4 has ever been Man Pic and 5 years since the last steam train, all this and 142040 was in the next platform :S it just won't go away...

Fine it here LOL http://142040.deviantart.com/

Railworks stuff is as a rule overpriced. Plus, the guy who runs IHH (who sadly make some of the best) is a complete tool who wigs out if someone criticizes his work and even said that the staff of UKTrainSim were not allowed to purchase anything he had made. Egotistical w*** if you ask me, as the opinion of one modder about another)

Still, I do enjoy what little I have managed to afford. The Class 101 Metro-Cammell is fun, takes me back to my days of collecting the various Tri-ang versions :) . I was also fortunate that my local routes are quite well represented, with an LMS Era North Staffordshire Railway route, and a Foxfield Railway one too. Besides a few lineside bits at Foxfield station, it's spot on.

Anyways I digress. I haven't tried the Class 158, but modern (post BR-Blue) stuff doesn't interest me that much.

Starting to think all 153's should be renamed "Stalker Class", 153302 in all it's single unit glory has followed me around since uni, doesn't matter what time of day, or where I'm heading 153302 will be there, originally in Central Livery, Now in East Midlands, claiming to be heading to Matlock or Nottingham.

Some say it was originally 153312, but 153311 cast it away leaving it to trundle back and forth between Notts and Matlock looking for love and affection, others say it has no driver and is powered by total despair alone. More speculate as to what would happen if 153302 ever met 15311 as legend has it that when they meet, they will bring about the end of the world. East Midlands Trains has therefore decided to test this in 2012 as an attempt to disprove the ending of the Mayan Calendar.

All i know is that it's 153311's cast-off sibling and i think Big Brothers watching me with it

Now, i wander what would happen if i ever got on it?

Due to the fact I have got out of the normal 153 stomping grounds for uni, I havent seen one recently, however on the way back home the last time I went home, when I got off the train at Newton Abbot, the other side of the island platform, 153361 was there to greet me haha.

This train has been bought by EMT and runs past my house a couple of times a day. I'm worried.
