Re: The Thread Of Randomness
Thought I was doing super well in my weight loss, scales complained the battery was low, put a new battery in and I suddenly gained half a stone (3kg). Curse you low batteries causing mis-readings!

14 years today since a bunch of random people met up in Birmingham to say hello to each other. Good times!

Re: The Thread Of Randomness
A lot of good things happen. And a lot of bad things too. The question is in our personal perception of life: everything is generally good or everything is totally bad. The question is how much we can appreciate some good events.

The aliens have arrived! Don't worry, the one person using a flip phone from the early 00s with the potato camera was the one to take the video & pictures!
I hope the aliens one day show up next to someone with an iPhone or nice Samsung Galaxy with a great camera for once.

Started a new job last week, as a result permanently relocated to Wales... Now I'm just 5 minutes from the sea!
Very much a retired regular poster..... If you can say that

Re: The Thread Of Randomness
In February last year I passed my driving test, the world immediately went straight to funkytown.
I recently got a car so i don't forget how to drive, and I have realised that driving, oh wow, that is super boring. I find myself constantly having to force myself to stop playing with the radio or other buttons in the car and just focus on the road and driving.
So that's not good.

Re: The Thread Of Randomness
Huh! I love driving. I got my license back in 2014 and I still take every opportunity to drive. We got a car when the panda medic started, so I drive to work whenever I can't work from home, and we go on roadtrips whenever we can. I'm currently in the South of Sweden, at a lovely hotel in the small town Kristianstad. Could I have taken the train? Sure! Did I? No!Redirect Left wrote: ↑07 Jul 2021 18:13driving, oh wow, that is super boring. Re: The Thread Of Randomness
Now why did I always imagine you'd end up in a Ford one day... Well, I shouldn't point fingers too much as it happened to me too.Redirect Left wrote: ↑07 Jul 2021 18:13 In February last year I passed my driving test, the world immediately went straight to funkytown.

YOU DRIVE A FORD?!
You had a Volvo nine years ago and I just assumed you'd keep it forever.
My Scenarios:
Archipiélago Hermoso (Latest Release: Version 3.2)
Turnpike Falls (Latest Release: Version 0.91)
Re: The Thread Of Randomness
In an ideal world I would have, but it was getting older and more expensive to keep, especially the insurance and taxes. So after fiddling around for a few years, I'm now on my third Ford.
(Yes, I know, the irony of buying a newer car because it's cheaper to own never pays off, but I just needed an excuse...)

Re: The Thread Of Randomness
Admittedly a very you truck, I would say.
It probably weighs a bit more than my Peugeot, but in return mine is easier to park where I live.

Re: The Thread Of Randomness
Yes it had my name written all over it!
Sure I won't even try to claim otherwise, but I don't need it to be easily parked for where I go with it

Mountain Dew Flamin' Hot
according to ign, mountain dew is collaborating with pepsico to produce a new flamin' hot flavour:
Mountain Dew Reveals New Flamin' Hot FlavorThe process of scientific discovery rewards the bold, those who aren't afraid to ask questions and challenge the status quo. Mountain Dew, long known for its rigorous scientific breakthroughs in flavor technology, has now broken through a barrier once thought impossible by the prevailing attitudes of modern flavor physicists and is introducing a new Flamin' Hot Mountain Dew flavor exclusively through the Mountain Dew online store.
