andres1555 and temproal8 have decided to combine their ideas for a theme, resulting in...

"old fashioned mountain village eyecandy"

Good luck! :D

Well that's a lot of keywords. Eyecandy, old-fashioned, mountain village ? Seems easy at first glance but looks like it's harder than it looks. I think that by playing with words you could just put beautiful eyecandy in a village on top of a hill in Temperate without snow.

Well, I gave it a shot.
Welcome to the little town of Marysville! The last town you'll see before you hit the snowy mountain plateau (and the last chance to refill your tank for a good while). Visitors are welcome to stay at the Overlook Hotel, with nice views of the surrounding lakes. The one goods railway station has seen better days, as most local industries have fled town, but Marysville might very well be worth a visit if you are into hiking or boating - or maybe you just need a good nights sleep before you hit those mountains.

My first entry. I hope that this aproach is not against the rules.

Old time village of Bítov with small factory has been situated in lovely valley.
Upstream the river passing through the village has been made a small dam which quickly changed to tourist center. Unfortunately the dam was part of bigger cascade with big water power plant planed in valley of Bítov and whole village, except of historical church has been flooded and the rest of houses has been abandoned and teared down.
Rail station which served for export of trees from valley was electrified and will be used for new tourist center.

Here is my entry: Mustering Brumbies from the high country while a freight train winds it's way around the mountain.

Hilltop, an old fashioned mountain village, for the weary game players to recuperate at. Year-round access is via road (chains required) and a mountain narrowgauge adhesion railway.

The village of Amos is located in the Trout River valley surrounded by the forests of the Mighty Mountain Range. We see our train has just dropped some empty boxcars at the local old fashioned water wheel powered sawmill and is now shunting to pick up some flat cars to be delivered further up the line to Amos Forest but before leaving it will couple to the passenger cars waiting at the station. Those passenger cars brought the latest group of hunters and sport fishermen for a week in the wild, looking for a trophy to carry home. On its return trip, the train will drop off the flat cars loaded with logs to be cut into the lumber which our train will haul to the city in the boxcars.

Congrats to everyone, really nice images were submitted, Thank you for all the users who voted me and thanks Wally, Jake and Acs121.

Fredinho: I like the attention to the detail in your images, the little parking spaces and loading zones, the station, wonderfull.

Wallyweb: The same as above, i really enjoy the detail in your image, the locomotive leaving wagons parked, the small town, wonderfull too.

I'm sending the new theme to Jake right now, good luck to everyone. :)
