Autorenew when the vehicle is not yet available

I set the autorenew, but the game is not able to replace some vehicles, because that model is not available (it may be obsolete).
How can I do?

I've got a question. I'm using the Dutch Trainset 2.. In this includes different types of freightcars reaching from small (s) tot large (L and XL). The longer cars will be available as the game progresses. Is it possible to replace the small-cars for biggers ones without making the trains any longer? Because otherwise, my trains will be longer then the platforms.

Yes, you can. In the same window where you can replace engines, you can switch to wagon replacements (button in the lower left corner, labeld "Replacing: Engines"). click that and you're at "Replacing: wagons".

Nothing easier than that... Please read what I linked - I even linked you the correct paragraph. Or tell me how that possibly doesn't answer your question. And please fix the wiki accordingly - after you tried yourself - so that you would understand on first reading
