I've always wondered if there is a practical use for one-way roads. I usually see them on various screenshots in the form of highways. Do you build them for eyecandy/realism, or do they really improve efficiency?

I sometimes use them to stop queues backing up onto a main road. I might also use them to keep rivals out of my way.

I do not use them at all!

But the only time I have seen them in a screenshots, they're being used to control the flow of large amounts of stations, or just to look nice (which they don't IMO) on high ways.
