i have 2 more exams so any time from now will do, find some cool looking GRFs, a realistic heightmap or one of my fractal ones and lets own the s*** out of it by networking mayhem

I might have some time to start a new server game maybe this week end... and for probably two weeks i suppose i will have time to play as well.
the only thing is that i might not be able to keep the server running 24h/24 like i used to, but will see

Now it give us some time to choose what grf and what map we are gonna play

I m open to your suggestion sir !

my sugestions would be :
map - same as ZX : realistics of fractal maps will do ! but if we can stay within 1024/1024 it would be good for player with internet/CPU issues...larger will make things not smooth very fast.
grfs - same like seen in my french screenies, so 2CC trainset, swedish house+TTRS+ECS house, stolen trees, all the nice station set,nu tracks,HEQS,Ikarus,Hungarian trucks+bob's vehicles, OGFX industry,Airport,Landscape, and there is a bunch more (they all works with CPP) + maybe Quast's eyecandy grf (if working with CPP, i haven t tried it yet)

of course game would occur with the latest Chill Patch Pack version...

Tell me what you think, what you would add, or what you would exchange to this ! (also start proposing maps )

just a small thing though : anychance you would increase a bit the Hp and reduce the weight ? right now the car can t reach it s full speed
(actually what about using real values ? i mean for weight/Hp/max speed and eventually the max T.E)

I agree. Finding the GRFs sometimes takes ages.

The most recent is still v14.5, right?

I hope that some form of patchpack gets updated so that the new version of GRF can be used. Currently I am trying to rewrite WAS in GRF v8 (I think) and with it there will hopefully be a number of improvements to the GRF in line with others such as the most recent versions of UKRS, which include many new, exciting features.

Romazoon, I am a great fan of your screens and your style, so could I join your server? My own screenshot is at a halt at the moment, but it will be updated soon!

I lolled at that . I do agree that the power to weight ratio of the Porsche could be better, but at the same time I haven't seen a bus do 302km/h yet or anytime soon... (no this is not an attempt to discuss the reality of it)

I actually hesitated to post it in the "funny image" thread (note : the bus is a bugged bus from Ikarus set, wich i find damn usefull on huge maps as it reduce the number of vehicule needed per route(and so reduce the overall number of bus on the map) )

hey guys, i started to lurk around for a nice map to play... but i can t decide... Can u make some propositions for maps please?! (Zx what about those fractals map you told us about ??)

at the moment i pre-selected a few :

-wales and west england giant renewal : details : ECS industry, road network finished, 1024x1024

-a swedish scenario : -Netherland by Purno
details : it s 2048x2048, and it s quite flat

- a japanese map : details : it s 2048x1024

- construction of the transsiberian
details it s 2048x1024, low number of cities and towns, ECS industry

- a south england map
details : it s 2048x1024, nice landscape, seems quite realistic (city and town placement+landscape)

- a germany map made by myfineshrine
details : it s 1024x1024, include london, Paris, Milano, Krakov, Kopenhagen

I'd love to play with you guys too, only problem Is, I cannot get Chill's Patchpack to work on my Game (Don't know why).

I would like to see one of the fractal maps to make a change from the "realistic" ones we've done before.

If not that then the South England landscape. I played it myself on my own before and found it was really good.
