Help doing a Sprite

Post by vanadio »

Hi.

I want to start doing my own mods.
Can someone do a video tutorial explaining how to do that from the begining?

Re: Video Tutorial Request

There have been several attempts/starts on such projects. Unfortunately they were never (?) completed. I suspect that this is due to the complexity and time required to develop such a project. That said, there are several text tutorials posted throughout these forums. If you haven't already done so, I suggest using the search tool at the top right corner of this page and look for "tutorial". You'll find about 2000 responses. After that, if you have any questions, we are usually quite good at helping out. Whatever you do, don't give up. There is always room for new ideas and contributions. :D

But if i draw a line in paint it doesn't look pixelized, like in the tutorials :?
And how could you make a perfect curve line in paint?

You'll need to zoom in, use the pencil tool and make your canvas smaller.

To convert to a pcx you just need an image editor which saves as PCX, it might need to be indexed too so you can use these (depending on program):

GIMP:
http://forum.tycoonez.com/download/file.php?id=4051
PSP:
http://forum.tycoonez.com/download/file.php?id=2078
Corel Photopaint (It could be readed by Adobe Photoshop):

If you don't have any of them, get GIMP, it's free.

As for the NFO that's a completely separate thing, it's simply the code, you just need a text editor, you code up your nfo as the specifications tell you and save as .nfo.
