I was able to reproduce the problem easily with just NARS 2 and FIRS r3222

NARS Parameters : 0 7 1 1 5 0

FIRS is as is (no base parameters\econmies changed)

NARS still shows a very limited selection of modern locomotives (most diesels don't show up like the EMD F unit, or the GE Dash 7)

Vehicles are set to never expire

Indeed. With FIRS r3203 NARS provides the engines as expected, with r3222 the engines are gone. Thanks for this report :-)

Ok thanks, its a good thing I was able to reproduce this so that it doesnt happen again say if the bug got into the stables

Thanks for fixing it :)

EDIT : Fix is confirmed, played from 1950 to 1975 as Santa Fe on a fictional map, was eventually making 2 million USD net profit

Looking good! I would add:

- Some of the snow, particularly on the bright side, looks a bit clean. Perhaps add some noise? When comparing to the ground tiles behind it looks slightly too clean.

- Possibly add some snow on top of the pipes that are running from building to building and on the fence around the edge? I take it that you have left it from the chimneys because they'd be too hot for snow to settle? If that's so (which is great) perhaps a nice touch would be to draw a melted circle on the roof around the chimney?

i think the fence is taken from the currently active base graphics set, so adding snow is non-trivial.

I have a suggestion for the ground tiles. Although there are already tracks visible in the snow, in a factory there would probably be many trucks driving in and out all day, so these tracks would probably be darker than they are currently. Also, I think it would be neat to have a pile of snow somewhere, it would add a little variety to the ground.
I am little, ugly, and nasty. How do you do?

Snow on the roof should be fairly pristine, as few, if any, people go up there usually. Parking lots or paved grounds that see trucks, forklifts, and employees working, should look more like slush than anything, with maybe plowed snow in the less used corners. Some factories realized the hazard of ice on pavement, and have steam pipes routed under the pavement to prevent snow and ice from building up there. In downtown Chicago, it becomes apparent where such lines are laid under sidewalks, as snow or ice melts there, rather than accumulate.

I have written a Catalan translation for FIRS. The file is attached in here. I hope that the end-of-line characters are okay...

Hi AndyTheNorth, I did some forum search, but could not find any report that described the bug/glitch that I found... so here I go. :)

Bug Report:

Description: Fishing grounds do have a graphical glitch under certain situations (rather randomly).
Sometimes they get partially overlayed by different textures. (see pictures)

Illustrations: Tested with:
  • OpenTTD 1.2.3 (Clean Install + OpenGFX 0.4.5 + FIRS Nightly r3275)
  • OpenTTD Nightly r24830 (Clean Install + OpenGFX Nightly r993 + FIRS Nightly r3275)
How to reproduce:
This is the easiest way to reproduce this
  • Start/Load a game with FIRS Nightly r3275 enabled
  • Open a new view (via the map menu)
  • Focus the new view on a fishing ground (best results with default/no zoom in the new view)
  • Start zooming the standard view in and out (farther out zooms seem to work best)
  • Enjoy >_<
Alternatively another reproducible way that does not need an extra view or zooming:
  • Download and load the savegame + GRFs below
  • Scroll to a fishing ground
  • Enjoy >_<
Savegame:
http://www.filedropper.com/tow-towtrans ... 03-04-1965 [6.8mb]

GRFs:
http://www.filedropper.com/openttd [32mb sorry ^^]

I hope this helps. :)

Great newgrf!

Hmm, my Fishing Ground sprites are freaking out at times, such as when the game is paused. Sometimes it will show a small red doohickey, and sometimes part of an airplane sprite...

Also there are some colors (blues around the fishing ships, specifically) on the Fishing Harbor that look out-of-place, perhaps not being recolored/cycling properly?

Using OTTD r24837 and FIRS 0.8.0-test-2. Only GRF loaded is FIRS.

That are special trained, red-skinned sharks, keeping the production of fish as low as possible. :)
I have seen this glitch too, but as it occured during a scenario test game, I did not want to check if it came from firs only or from a intermezzo of other newgrfs I loaded in the game. If the game is zoomed out, it gets even more frequent, though.

Here is a shot from a neighborhood of fishing grounds.

The realist sees the light coming closer...
The engineer sees three fools in front of his train on the track in the tunnel.
