Because:Arathorn wrote:Why is this topic so important then?
1. There are still people here who haven't been in yet
2. Couple of people nagged me about not having the rules down somewhere
3. If I need to find it later, I CBA to look through several pages just to find them
Bugzilla available for use - PM for details.
Having them clarified somewhere is better than different people enforcing and sticking to different rules. That way, all the ops have something to refer to, and you get kick messages of the type "Rule #2: No fooing at the bar." etc.

Not having read the rules isn't an excuse. Especially when they've been presented with them (more accurately, a link to them) as you join.
I've seen some channels that are moderated, with a welcome message saying "To get voice, go read our rules, then /msg Foobar with the last word". Not sure I want to get that extreme.

No, it runs on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, twice a day. I'll be on the evening boat to Kirkwall every Sunday now until the start of the summer holidays, and then after the summer holidays every week for a year except other holidays. Same goes for the Friday night boat back to Sanday.
There is one rule that is not mentioned here:Stylesjl wrote:why do we need to post these rules?
