I was just building the 300th four way junction in my game and placing all its signals when I had the thought, "It'd be nice if I could just copy and paste another junction and all its signals in this spot."
Would this be possible?
Think of Roller Coaster Tycoon where you could save tracks that you build and store them in a palette.
Perhaps opening up a special window where you could design sections of track and save.
And hopefully they would persist between games.
The only problem I could see anyone having with this would be the multiplayers who are worried about balance.
Pre-built palettes .

Re: Pre-built palettes .
It's possible but was so far not quite finished. Search this forum for the copy&paste patch.

Re: Pre-built palettes .
Good to see that it's already been worked on. I can't understand why it'd be rejected other than the stability issues. I've been able to find several threads on the subject, but, unfortunately, this open source world with all its different versions of many things is rather confusing to me. It'll be a miracle if I figure out what all I have to install before I can get copy&paste to install.
Thanks, though!

Oh, jeez... do I have to fix all the crap people have been saying about that patch each and every time?
First of all: the patch has NEVER been finished. It's filled with TODOs. As such the patch has not been accepted, which apparantly a lot of you see as rejection. The idea of some copy-pasting of layouts is nice, it's just the implementation (in code) that has been the reason not to add it.
