Jim,

Thanks so much for your kind words mate, I'm always happy to see that with mere seconds of effort, I can help you and your TTD contributions to these forums, and the folks here. This thread is the ultimate "feel good" place to visit, because you never miss a thanks when someone helps you, and you always do your best to explain your problems. In a forum where most people want instant gratification with no thanks afterwards, it's a relief to see (excuse my saying this) the old ways still exist. Not saying you're old, btw ;)

Every time there's a reply in this thread, I'm quick to jump on and take a squiz, usually because it's always pleasent reading, no matter who's posting in here.

Bravo, TTD onwards, good sir :]

Dear TTD Fans;

I've been playing my latest scenario, (though a revised version from Northeast Rails II,)
called "Northeast Rails III", and the new features are excellent with this re-worked
scenario! Boy I'm having fun with my RR layouts, in both the Industries and Passenger services. :wink:

Give it a try, 'cause it's a whole new ballgame. Here's a Super Pic from "Northeast Rails III".

Jim Powers

That certainly looks very interesting, Jim.

I will have to give it a try, if I could ever find some time again to play...

Mr. The Irish;

It's good to hear from you, Big Guy. Yeh, the last couple of weeks I've been 'hung up' on
"Northeast Rails III" which is a terrific scenario. So much
one can do in this scenario. Great fun! I hope you do find the time for it, Sir.

This morning I started back on my latest scenario, which will called
"China Connection".
There's a ton of work going into this scenario because China is such a large mass of land.
But, I'm really enjoying the way it looks so far. :wink:
Don't know when I'll finish it, but, will keep you all posted.

Oh dear. I might have to get back into TTD because of these scenarios...

I trust you are doing well, Jim? Sorry I haven't popped in lately, but life has taken me by its steely claws and not let me go. I'm only having a break because I just went through surgery!

Even though I may not post here, you can count on me if you need some help.
I'm always a PM away. I still haven't let go of that collaboration possibility! :P

China Connection scenario

Post by Jim Powers »

Mr. RPharazon;

So nice to hear from you again, my Friend. I pray your surgery came out alright?
(as hospitals go.) Anyway, get well soon, we need you, Big Guy. :wink:

Hey Mr. Geo.c Ghost, What's up for the holidays? My wife has been in Florida,
(Key West no less,) so I've been 'batching' for a couple of weeks and I've just finished
my latest scenario called ""!

"China Connection" has all the oriental 'goodies' which so many of you fellows have been
kind enough to share.
And I've had a blast making this China scenario. There are quite a variety of resources and
industries there. I've tried to contain all that in this scenario, and I
believe I've got most of it,
with a scattering of towns and cities starting in 1935, to give it a pretty realistic playing
field. So, get ready launch your next super game in this super big country, in
"China Connection"!
It really should be fun!

Mr. Michael24;

Thank you, Sir. Now, as for " Do you use some kind of tool? If you're referring to what
I call my 'Super pics', the answer is yes. But, if you are referring to my scenarios, the answer
is no. I only use the editor's tools the same as anyone else. No special enhancing 'tools' or
hacking. I just ain't that computer smart, Sir.

Here's "China Connection" before I installed the towns, industries, etc. I liked
the different styled landscaping which one might be able to see better than when the
infrastructure is installed. :wink:

Mr. Raichase;

Again, Thank you. I feel very good that you are my friend, that you've proven
to be one of my best supporters in TTD scenario making. And again I'm honored that
you've thought enough of my work to take time, which most don't have much of, and
add "China Connection" to my page #1 scenario list and also to be so quick about doing it.
Big Guy, you're the best! :wink:

Mr. Draakon;

There's a couple of large scenarios that I'm thinking about, that I've made,
(if you like mine.) "Mid Central Rails" ("Mid Central Road & Rails' is good too,)
and "Totally Texas". These feature huge playing areas with plenty of room to
place your ECS industries.
Anyway, that's my suggestion. :wink:

Mr. Draakon;

Thanks for your interest, good buddy. And, while I'm at it, I just finished my
"Merry Christmas 2007" Scenario. Gosh! It took me 7 hours to build it, but,
I only wanted all of the TT-Forums members and guests to have a
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Here's my 'Super Pic'. :wink:

Mr. Draakon;

Thanks, man. Sorry to hear about your game problem. I don't think one can really see
just how big the "Merry Christmas" letters are, so, I've put a 'close up' so, one may
compare it's huge size. :wink:

Awesome Jim! :D

You should put a few trains round that for fun :P

*edit*

OH MY GEWD! I just noticed that the rest of the map is full of trees! That must have taken ages!
How long did it take you Jim?

That button that says Random Trees in the scenario editor. It works wonders. ;)

Mr. Geo.c Ghost;

Thanks, my Friend, and I followed your suggestion and placed 6 trains around
'Merry Christmas', and 2 trains around my name. But, the super pic didn't get it too
good. I shrink those super pics so one may see them at a glance. Here's the super
pic in it's giant screenshot size.

Mr. Ameecher, the 'random trees' button you mentioned, I didn't use. I used the
'retangle tree' feature because I have more control over where I want the trees to be.
But, that 'random tree' button was good for multipling trees fast. Thanks for reminding
about it, Sir. :)
