Graphics Help

Hello fellow TTD lovers! I need some help getting new graphics to work. I'm sure my problem has been brought up before, but in my search of this forum, I cannot find a thread containing my problem.
I played Transport Tycoon since it came out, and have used TTDPatch for a while now. Recently, I found Open TTD, and rather enjoy it. Lately, I've been looking around at these new graphics, and thought I'd give them a try. I downloaded them, but could not use them. I got the TTDPatch update(2.5 or 2.9 or whatever the newest is), still no luck. Graphics Manager didn't help either. Finally, I downloaded the TTDX Configurator (2.87?), and for some reason, that worked. I reinstalled Open TTD, but the graphics don't show up there. After hours and hours and hours of working on it, I have not reached my final goal.
From a very frustrated man: please help!

I think OTTD has different graphic sources.. you installed ttd graphics they work fine in TTDP but not in OTTD if that is what you are looking for graphics for. I'm not 100% sure though.

I think that the OTTD section below in the main board area has a section for Graphics.. you may have to download those graphics if your looking for them for that game

If you have 0.5.0, i'm also having problems, but most patch grf's (windows versions) will work in ottd. Some authors won't allow it and some grf's are incompatible.

I can't seem to get the town conversion or the new staions to work either. I've followed all the instructions I can find. I'm pretty sure the graphics that do work are only working by some miracle, and my computer just randomly doesn't do things I want done out of spite.

Have a look at the Manual for OpenTTD on how to install newgrf files in OpenTTD.

Total Town Replacement still doesn't work, but I'm just glad everything else does.

As of today, the 'Official' OTTD nightly has NewHouses (and thus TTRS) support.
