Bölosiek map

I'm currently working on a large 2048x2048 map of Bölosiek, a country which I drew a few years ago. I'm making the map city by city, first landscape, second the town itself and third the connections between the towns. There will be some major cities (+100,000 inhabitants) as well as small towns varying from size. The map is a peninsula, surrounded by sea to the west, south and the east. There will be mountains to the north, large hills in the west and north and east , and to the south two river deltas. The rest will be plains. I'll post some screenies of the largest towns. A first release will be ready in several weeks.

This is looking so damn awesome, but won't that town on sea level be flooded when starting the game? When it's finished I'm going to play it! Definately :D

Thanks :D . And the town won't flood. In version 0.6.0. you can build rivers, and I've made a bunch of tiles with rivers next to it. However, if you destroy it, it will definately flow.

I've also finished a whole region, Tradóorci to the northeast of the map, a hilly region just south of the mountains.
EDIT: Also finished: northwestern region of Numdarí

Not an ecumenopolis :wink: . Yes, there are large towns, with more than 100.000 habitants, but there will also be large plains and a mountainous region...

Well, it's almost finished. Just have to fill in the rural parts of the map for the first release!

Wow, this looks epic dude :) My only concern is trying to get train stations and rail lines into the city. In Locomotion you can build underground stations and tracks but obviously you can't do that here. Did you leave little areas in the cities with ditches to build the tracks?

No, I didn't, but I could make that in a newer version perhaps. However, the roads will be in several big squares of 3x4, 3x3 or so, so you don't have to ruin the streets for your buses and trams. You'll have to enable the patch (or cheat??) to remove the city roads.

There's only two regions left to do until the release. I've finished two other regions in the last few days: Dóorcilos and Lethía.

I've heard of stolen trees, I'm just having trouble finding it. The other two, I'm not exactly sure what you're talking about.

The transmitter isn't necessary, you can disable it.

You have got all the GRFs? That's strange. I don't know the problem. Here's a savegame, just with nothing at the beginning. I hope it'll work!
EDIT: Perhaps you don't have the right version. I use the latest version of Open TDD, perhaps that's the problem.

Define what you mean by "latest version of OpenTTD"

Nightly?

RC?

Stable?

If it is a nightly, giving a number would be rather useful too.

0.6.0 beta 3 or just regular 0.6.0? And yeah I had all of the grfs isntalled. I was using o.6.0 beta 3. Anyone else having trouble?

I found the problem. I was just using the wrong OTTD >.>

Which exactly TTRS were you using? I had the latest version but apparently its not the same.
