The wagons are, the engine isn't.

The wagons do however "feel" wrong/out of proportion - but looking nice nonetheless.

Yes, the wagons are a bit short, because the limits of the sprites in TTD world.

A train with wood and other train with goods are loading at the station. The train with goods uses a smaller locomotive because It is shorter and the city is near.

Unloading goods at the city. The signals are wrong because the conversion from original graphics to OpenGFX graphics is not 1000% finished.

Hey I'm no genius at this stuff, but wouldn't it help if you shortened the height and width of the train sprites to give them a longer proportional appearance?

It would look too small, and It would need new railway sprites.

original idea of 32bpp was actually 2 tracks per tile, hence the tracks where made smaller and trains where designed to fit that....

I should test it - but I'm not so sure about editing my config file which other versions of the game use (like CargoDist). If I optimize for 32bpp graphics what will happen to my 8bpp games?

no need just get the game file pack, its already comes with a default cfg in its game folder...

or edit the file in your my documents, its will have no impact on the other versions
i use more than a few and all use one cfg with the 32blitter on and if it was doing some problem than it would be a bug since the 32blitter should only activate support for 32Bpp files for all versions.
