Adding own company and colors

Post by Nick1812 »

Hi all,

I want to add my own company to Locomotion with self made png-files and my own company colors.

So far my images look scrambled...
I tried using Wally.exe (converting from full color/256-color bmp's and with/without using lomoveh.pal)

Drag-and-drop obviously won't use the -p parameter of locotool.exe, so how do I change my company colors using the commandline parameter of locotool.exe? Please help, I've been reading several forums for hours now...

Thanx heaps in advance!

Cheers, Nick

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by your own company colours, because you can only use what colour schemes that are available in the game.

As far as making your own company logo, here is what I would do.
First you are going to need the lomo.pal which you can download at Walters1940's site. Use the locotool to edit one of the preexisting companies in Locomotion. Use the sprites sizes as reference, which is 24x24 for the small sprites and 64x64 for the larger sprites. Then use the lomo.pal in GIMP and create your own logo using the colours in the Locomotion palette so you don't loose quality after running it through wally. You need to save your sprites from GIMP as a 24 bit bmp file for wally to recognize them. Then after you have converted them into pngs you can drag and drop them into the pngs folder. Do some editing in the xml so you don't overwrite the original company dat and you should be able to get it in-game without loosing quality.
Hope this helps.

I use a simpler route... take your pictures, resize them and import the locomotion palette. Then just put them into the company owner editor. I'm not sure how easy it is to FIND that program, but it's whoppingly easy to use.
EDIT: I believe it is aqui: http://www.express-world.co.uk/locomoti ... loads.html
