Hello forum!
My problem, like the title says, is that no matter now determined and persistent I am with pressing Ctrl+Alt+C the cheat menu just won't appear, I'm using the latest OTTD nightly. Also, I've tried copying an older version which actually worked on my other computer but it won't work here either.
I'm guessing that it's my computer's fault but I'm not sure.
Any suggestions on how and why is this happening ?
Oh I get it now! And I works too!
Thank you very much petert!

Re: I can't use the cheat menu
Hmm, I just re-wrote the Cheats page on the wiki a bit ago. (http://wiki.openttd.org/Cheats)
Check out the part about "Ctrl + Alt + Windows + C"

Re: I can't use the cheat menu
I have a similar problem.
I have installed on a Mac running OS X 10.5
I followed the wiki to try and get the cheat menu up but it doesn't appear.
I tried the combination listed there and then in frustration I tried as many combinations of those three keys as possible.
I downloaded the latest stable mac release.

Re: I can't use the cheat menu
Have you maybe got some kind of application running in the background that might catch the key combination?
The only other thing I can think of is that maybe you're trying to bring up the window in multiplayer mode - that won't work (even if it's a locally hosted multiplayer game and only you are connected). The cheat window is only available in single player games.

Re: I can't use the cheat menu
I did forget to mention that the computer is on a network where the actual filel themselves are hosted on a server not the terminal. I don't know if that would make a difference.
When I started the program I did go into single player mode and as far as I'm aware there were no programs with that key combination but I'll test that later.
I am keen to get the cheat to work because I'd like to install the game for the kids at the special needs school where I work. Most of the boys there would get frustrated by the normal constraints of the non-cheat game.
Yet another reason I wish they used PCs

Re: I can't use the cheat menu
Issue resolved.
The wiki is currently incorrect with the latest stable download. The cheat menu comes up when you press:
Control + Option (⌥) + C
not "Command + Option + C" as stated.
that was obviously a combination I missed yesterday.
