Thanks for the feedback, I'll see what I can do about that, I just definitely wanted to do something with a bit of rainforest.

edit: I ran into two things, one of which I'm not sure it's a bug or intended behaviour: in the scenario editor I am allowed to destroy company bought land.
Second a feature request.

That's why it's a scenario editor. You can edit and change most things ;-) Actually it'd also be IMHO a valid feature request to ask for "I like to build as company XY in the scenario editor" ;-) or possibly even a convert company feature.
Also just moving the towns as you suggest is IMHO a valid feature request. In general the SE could be extended A LOT. Not the least of all to allow a the scenario editor mode in multiplayer :-) As usual: *someone*....

OK, I got some good ideas for the:
And get rid of those rail platforms that connect the long maglev platforms. Otherwise, looks good

So now I hope that it will look much better and useful now.
As for multicolor:
the multicolor is done by company menu -> set company livery -> There is a colour table for different vehicle types so you can set each vehicle type colour individually
I know about it, but they still get the only one color - the main company color (company livery), so in other words, all this individual setting is useless (you can see by yourself if you use this title as normal save - they have individual colors set for them, but still they got only one color, even if I've tryed to buy a new trains, ships and so on). Maybe there is a thing that I don't know yet (there is nothing about it in manual)?
Anyway, here it is:

Final Update: Big thanks to V453000 :), oh now I see those tiny checkups and know what they are for.
Final version for my Title, I won't make any changes in the future. Thanks guys and girls.

So, here they are:

Yeah, I get that, especially, the someone has to code it. The reason why I was wondering was because I'm not allowed to remove rail tracks, this is a bit reasonable as it's not possible to reconstruct rails in the scenario editor.
Furthermore, I've updated my submission once again. I think for the last time as I've spend enough time on it already.

Can one spend too much time on it? ;-) Given the downloads of 1.0.0 about 200000 people will see it as their title screen...

Not being able to remove tracks in the SE is something I tend to consider a bug actually... Not being able to build it is one thing, not being able to delete another...

I would just like to say, that my current favourite is probably Menor's, it just perhaps needs some other types of track :)

It should present a realistic scene... around 1950 I think...

Hi all

So here is my attempt to make a nice tropical title screen !

Still have to decide wich of both view is better. So i wait for your comments

Edit 17h25 : I updated savegame, i forgot to reduce the background noise... it was terrible with all the trucks running around !, it s way better now (but tell me if still too much, i could still change orders of some vehicules so that they don t stop or start in the screen)

Personally I prefer the 1st one where also the food processing plant is shown which is a bit of an industrial area which is lacking in the other screenshot. Besides it shows the total bay area which looks nicer from an image composition POV. But of course that varies by the size of the screen... so we shall see when I get back to my computer at home that I can run the screenshot script.

What is the largest screenshot that's going to be used? I've got a nice 1920x1200 screen ready but I've seen 2560x1600 examples as well. Are those going to be used too?

Given the number of complaints we had that a 2048x1536 (IIRC) resolution wasn't big enough for their screen it would be safe to assume that something in the range of that size will be used by some people for playing OpenTTD.

Sometimes it'll be two screens side by side, sometimes two screens above eachother. In any case, more than 1920 wide or 1200 high is definitely used.

Well, here's what I have now. I've put a 1280x1024 screenshot with it. I wanted to upload a 1920x1200 screenshot but I can't get the file size small enough so I can't upload it to my on-line storage. Seems to be photoshop's fault. I'll try to find another way to get a screenshot with the size of less than 2 MiB.

EDIT:

I've changed the viewport of my game. It should be the right one now.

So... is this a replacement or a 2nd submission?

Update with Plasma_Wolf's and romazoon's and Menenor's new submissions.

Plasma_Wolf, you may want to re-consider the positioning of your viewport - it looks very boring on monitors which are not of giant size, e.g. look at the screenshots for 640x480 or even 1024x768 size. The title screen expands to the lower right when increasing the display size - or only the upper left portions remain visible when shrinking viewport size - it's not at all symmetric into all directions.

Menenor, for the same reason you maybe want to re-position slightly your center of view - the main menu may totally block the view on the village / town.

Arie: Maybe the factory in the lower right (on large screenshots) can get a canal connection and a dock? And maybe the big moutain could feature a small river going into the sea?

ramazoon: Nice to look through all zooms. I miss a drive-through road stop, though :-) And you maybe could use in some places another bridge than the fastest tube bridge ;-) Maybe a 2x2 heliport could also be placed somewhere with connection to the single heliport I found; possibly it'd be well placed in the town area North-West of the bay.
