Does OpenTTD Nightly Build have everything TTD Patch does???
I'm still at the beginning of the game (1960) so I haven't really noticed the new graphics I keep reading about on the TTD Patch site... somebody told me that OpenTTD and Nigtly build have EVERYTHING that TTDPatch does , even more, but I'm not sure about the graphics...
Do I have to "turn them on" by editing some .cfg files?? Or do the come automaticaly later in the game as years go by...??

There's a full forum dedicated to OTTD Graphics a bit below "OpenTTD Problems" forum..
Here's the link:
http://www.tt-forums.net/viewforum.php?f=36
You'll find there details about supported graphic files, sprites, etc.
PS. OTTD does include most of the patches in TTDPatch (many of them improved and not necessarily applied in the same way. Read more in the forums.)

Here's an incomplete list that compares TTDPatch features to OpenTTD features: http://openttd.rulez.org/wiki2/index.php/TTDPatch_users

Go ahead, add it to the list than.
I started writing that list and I'm not very familiar with TTDPatch, that's why it's so incomplete. But that's the great thing about a Wiki, isn't it? Everyone can change it!

Well, OpenTTD is going to have a completely different way of allocating space for vehicles soon. I did start work on a patch for reading morevehicles games (and likely chopping off the extra vehicles that didn't fit, for now at least), but I haven't finished it yet.SHADOW-XIII wrote:I see some holes .... like important morevehicles switch
So the difference isn't really that big.
But I didn't know I have to import graphics specially into the game.. I thought OpenTTD has it all. So in your opinion-which has more advantages-Open or Patch??

If you feel it very important to play with new graphics now, then choose ttdpatch.
If you don't care too much about that, just want a bigger screen easier control and fast development, choose openttd.
